In free roam if you spawn a train at a station, but others are about to leave before you, and your signal is red. What if instead of waiting you can click on the signal in the map, to make it green, and go first provided your path ahead is clear.
If you got there by Main Menu > To The Trains > Choose a Route > Free Roam by default there are no other trains. Only if you got there by Main Menu > To The Trains > Choose a Route >Timetable does this idea of your makes sence to me. As well as regardless of how you spawned on foot and in turn spawen a train - it makes sence to define a path first because among other reasons, that is how it works in real life. Absolutely fantastic idea it’s about time we had more useful features in this day and age and high time long overdue for realistic GSM/R headcode input i doubt in 2025 it’s rocket science to expect realistic things like GSM/R given TS classic had it for eternity
It isn't when you think that SimRail has a version of it allowing despatchers (signallers) to talk directly to drivers in multiplayer mode, really all you need for GSMR on TS5 is the basic text message funtionality, at signal, wait and contact signaller (for scenario stuff)
Well judging by exorbitant cost of DLCs today assuming your statement is accurate it should come as a standard feature and in 2025 tsw should be at a state where we get a list of features we can expect at a set standard I mean when you look at bigger picture 1. It’s not like tsw a new simulator 2. High likelihood tsw6 just around corner and 3 fact that after so many years standards should be higher if not A game rate by now
