I just wanted to ask if it's possible to add a working EBuLa to the German Locos. The benefit of the EBuLa would be that the player could drive the train with the HUD disabled and for me that would be "real" realism. So how could the EBuLa work? The EBuLa timetable could be created with the editor and delivered with the map The EBuLa gets its data form the service mode timetable and the speeds on the route Then it works like a real EBuLa What are your opinions on the EBuLa?
Thats a feature i would die to have ingame! Strangely enough, you can press all the buttons on the display but obviously they don't do anything right now. I thought this could be for the future. I realy hope so.
Great idea, I'd love to see working EBuLas as soon as possible, ideally with automatically generated timetables.
Or, if not Ebula (so especially on older locos, should we ever get them) maybe the oldschool paper version. Ever wondered what the large empty area in the middle of the driver's desk is for? Yep. It's a clipboard essentially!
I've just watched the RRO Preview Stream I found out that Matt said he wants to implement EBuLa, but he has to look further into it. I mean it's a step in the right direction. So there is a chance that EBuLa is coming.
This is more immersion. Has to be priority stuff to add for a simulation game. My opinion, of course.
I agree too. Sad thing is only, seeing how new features in TSW are typically handeled, I fear should we ever get a loco with an Ebula, it will be the only one. No updates for the older ones we have already. Same as with the destination displays, interior displays, ...
Could be, but the EBuLa-displays are working already, the destination displays and interior displays not and I think for them to work something has to be remodelled whereas with the EBuLa it would just be expanding the capabilities of the display. Maybe this is handeled differently in TSW, but that would be my guess. Let's hope for the best.
i think, its again, proirity decisitions in what to make. Personally i like to drive with less HUD options i can. Almost nothing in the HUD. But maybe the mayority likes to drive even with the speedometer and all the other options. So EBuLa becomes too much to do (in a priority list)
On the German routes, it's actually fairly easy to drive mostly without the HUD: Kilometer posts. say you depart from a station at km 10.5. Turn on the HUD so it tells you how far the next station is away, and add or distract the distance, depending what direction you travel. Speeds as well, signage on the DB routes is fairly well done in TSW. Alternatively, you can write down the kilometer numbers for stations (maybe even speed restrictions), thereby essentially creating your own "Ersatzfahrplan", the paper predecessor of Ebula sotospeaks
it is true that ebula on RSN, MSB and now RRO routes makes these three routes the most popular for me. Without HUD with PZB and SIFA on, it's more fun.
https://rail-sim.de/forum/wsif/index.php/Category/251-Sonstiges/ For now i been trying this. Here you can find Ebula screens for the 3 german routes. Edit: Also, to have this screens on the 155 and 182 you can find there repaints that also come with Ebula. I think you thearkerportian already knew this but for everyone that doesn't know there is the link.
I also would be really interested in this feature! I hope they add it someday, the screens are already there.
How about a simplified variant like the modders did here: https://rail-sim.de/forum/filebase/entry/3707-ebula-für-rsn-msb/ Doesn't really work but is just there. Only difference should be that you can switch them out according to route without leaving the game and that they should work on all locos that have the display. Shouldn't be too much work
It's for TWS1, no idea if it works for 2. Also, HRR unfortunately didn't get one, and the routes that have a mod aren't out yet. Sorry. That exactly is my proposal.
hi there a working eBula is what i really want so my question is simple. does DTG have any plans to give us a working eBula like in Zusi 3 ? cheers
