I'm new to this forum, I don't know if I am breaking rules.

You know what would be good to see in TSW? More historical routes and locomotives around the USA and canada, sweden too. It would be so cool to see the Milwaukee Road Pacific extension, that austrian route that came out a few months ago proves that people at DTG or any partners could indeed make a pacific extension route. The Pacific Extension was a route going to montana and places I forgot that had electric traction and diesel traction, Freight and passenger trains, and it was very cool. It ended electric operations somewhere in the 70s and then later the railroad went bankrupt and was purchased by soo line, then soo line got purchased by Canadian Pacific. There are 3 EF4 Little joe locomotives in the USA, the few are as followed, South Shore 803 - Operational, South Shore 802, Inoperable, MILW E70 Inoperable. There are also 3 EF1 boxcab electric locomotives around, 2 Permanently coupled sets at the lake superior railroad museum, and a switching variant somewhere in montana. It would also be awesome to have a GG1 or AEM7 as an addon to the New York - Trenton Route, I am sure everyone would love that. What do you all think? Type your comments below!

Extra Notes: The pacific extension went through Montana, Idaho, and Washington.

I don't mind what part of the route is made, At least something is good. If you ever want sounds for a little joe, you could go to the Illinois Railway Museum and ask them to bring out 803 for audio recordings and interior shots. 803 is the same internally and externally but runs on lower voltage (I think.)

The Milwaukee Road route sounds fantastic, especially with their big, powerful electric locomotives. The GG1 and AEM7 are a must for NEC, along with an E60C and/or PRR E44.

Milwaukee Road has come up a few times. Just the Avery to Drexel section as done for Trainz many years ago would be better than nothing.

However am I correct in thinking there is still some licensing issue around their name with a recent TSC MR route having to be done with unbranded locos etc? Not that this should stop DTG for something as iconic as this route.

From my understanding, one just needs to contact the MRHA about licensing for it. AFAIK Milepost potentially tried to contact them about it but something went amiss (Either a missed email or something) so the route had to release unbranded.

At this point probably hard to say whether the route and train builder got permission or played fast and loose, with Auran (as they were then before morphing into N3V) turning a blind eye. The content that got included with the various Trainz versions was pretty much all built by third parties, often just at hobby level which the developer then integrated into the game.

I'm not too sure if I am correct or not, but I believe canadian pacific has rights to the Milwaukee Road as soo line bought the MILW and then soo line got bought my Canadian Pacific.

No the rights are owned by the Milwaukee Road Historical Society as listed on their website. The only thing they don't own is the AAR reporting marks.

Oh I see, I didn't notice that. Are they the ones who run MILW 261? or is that the friends of the 261?

either way, I believe they'd be willing to give the licensing to DTG, Though I'm not too knowledgeable on reporting marks.

I haven't touched TSW since 3 and I only comeback here to see what players are talking about and what's up. I'll just say this the Problem with TSW2 on up to TSW5 is that the Game runs on the Unreal Engine 4 and if you know anything about the performance at what that game engine was designed for and how it works Well that's the downfall of trying to make a game based on something more than it can handle.

Please go I suggest you look into the Unreal Engine and see what it's Pro's & Cons are as you'll be shocked hence the reasons why I stopped playing TSW.

Curious ask yourself how many times have you got that Stutter or Lag during gameplay.?. you think that's Not on purpose YEAH it is frankly because the Unreal Game Engine can't process the data or for better terms CAN'T HANDLE IT, as the Game Engine can only handle up to 2 miles at a time then it has to load more hence the Stuttering or feeling of Lag. Please go look at other Railroad Games out on the Market as you'll see there not using URE4 or 5 because of that problem. Yes, the URE4 & 5 has great detail and lighting but that's it as gameplay will be limited FACT!

Run8 has built their own Game Engine as well as Trainz which is called Jet3, Railroader uses Unity, but DTG uses premade Game Engine designed Not what TSW needs to be and that's one of the massive problems with the game, looking pretty isn't always the best thing as a game title that has lots of going on around that it can't handle it. Looking Pretty or Actual Gameplay is the difference between what makes a Great Game.

You deiced especially when every year DTG rereleases TSW as a New game like EA Madden and adds stuff into it that was there from the start and call's it New ha-ha yeah Conductor Mode isn't New when it was in TSW4 on I believe the NYC Hudson Subway Route. Understand this there are 9 TSW games released since 2017 YES 9! Not 5 like everyone thinks but 9
