Only workaround is to go to an outside camera and then back into the driver camera. It updates then. Do this every time you hear it beep. While it is true that you can just press 1 without going to the outside camera, it will cause your seat to become impassable, rendering your driver's side cab door unusable.
in fact, you dont need to change the camera, you just tap the button for inside camera, on PC it is 1... or you can use the version of this cab car from Boston Worcester if you have that DLC... tho that one, on the other hand, sometimes has trouble with ACSES/ATC - sometimes when I press acknowledge as it lowers the speed limit, it doesnt accept it immediately and just continues using some sort of temp penalty brake... but it is manageable
