Year 1984 and DB orientrot BR110 and Silberlinge in mint/türkise I would say that is wrong, these color schemes were from 1987 at the earliest.

and BR DB 628.2 has been around since 1986 ... I would say that 1988 would describe the state of affairs better

We are aware the trains are not perfect, but the timetable is based on the real 1984 timetable, because thats when quite alot of BR194s still ran freight regularly :)

Since the Silberling cars are in the 80s period design from the Mittenwaldbahn map, it was almost unnecessary to use the mint color scheme ..... just a texture for the driver's car would have to be made ..... on the other hand, it is colorful and diverse :)

But take it as a footnote from someone who builds exact period express trains from the turn of the 70s/80s in model railroading, so I actually like accurate designs.

I really hope the 103 and 110 will receive a backdating, albeit it is surprising the 218 did while the others didn't, and we'll soon see a real Avmz207, Bm235, BDms273 and a Silberling cab control car - oh, and the back in 1984 more common 218 Altrot. That'd make things much more realistic, than 1984 with a 1987 BR628 and 110, 1997 Produktfarben Silberling with DB AG logo.

I'll get the E94 pack, but this leaves a bit of an odd taste. I know that you guys have passion and I want to support that.

    Kind regards.

As has been said many times before, we cannot do everything in a pack, it would be an absolutley ridiculous the amount of work it would take to achieve with the end result being the pack would end up needing to be about 2-3x its current price and probably the timeframe increased by the same amount... and nobody would buy at price at which point you might as well not even have bothered. Over time the gaps may be filled, but as of right now this is the best compromise that can be achieved.

Release today so will be following…

Out of curiosity, if you don’t own the Ludwigsbahn route, how much will we miss out on?

Judging by the preview stream, I think it’s two railtour scenarios with E94 088. There are no timetabled railtours.

Would it be possible to one day change the DB-AG logos on the Mintgrün N-Wagen to Bundesbahn logos? This would also fit better for the Niddertalbahn layer and more suit the 110 in general :)

That's be a first steps. However, in 1984 there was not Mintgrün, nor other variations of the so called Produktfarben, they were introduced from 1987 onwards, as was the DBBR 628. Actually it would've been probably a better idea to leave it in 1997 with some additional scenarios for the DBBR 194 as so called "Museumszug" or "Sonderzug", that way all the content could've been used flawlessly. In other words, the E94 pack with ten scenarios or layers for the RL and Ludwigsbahn in the time frame the routes are set in, may have been a better idea for as long as there's still so much Bundesbahn content still missing.

The 1984 timetable could've came at a later point, just like the timetable update for Cologne to Aachen.

I dont want to sound ungrateful, in fact I'm anything but that, to me it's simply that for now a 1980s vibe is not there. What I saw in the preview streams yesterday could've been set in the mid 1990s as well.

    Kind regards

After all, there's a trend and desire to implement more and more historic vehicles for TSW, which the E94 pack has achieved quite well. Germany, in particular, still has some catching up to do here, while the UK already has a larger selection of old BR vehicles, including steam locomotives (some even with faces on them, LOL). ;)

Of course, railway historians would say that orient red, mint green, and the DB logos introduced in 1994 are inappropriate for 1984. But if you look closely, the entire LFR route should have been adapted to 1984, as it was modeled based on the 1997 version.

I'm not a purist, so I just think it looks fun and plan on buying it either way.
Doesn't matter to me, since I couldn't tell you what was the "correct" paint scheme in German trains in 1984.
    Just looks fun to play.

The timetable has only one mistake, the BR 194 did not run on the Rhine route. Neither in passenger nor freight traffic. The BR 194 only travelled in southern Germany and was only used in the west and north as far as Mainz and Bebra. The right locomotives would have been the 140/150 and 151 series for freight transport and the 110 and 141 series for passenger transport.

But DTG doesn't take things too seriously when it comes to time periods and vehicles anyway. A good example of this is the Bremen Oldenburg line. In the 2008 timetable, there were no BR 110s and n-cars in scheduled service there for several years. At that time, Dostos of the 145/146 series and rarely a BR 111 were still in service on the RE route.

True enough, but it was the best compromise available. TSG had the 1020, and research access to E 94 088. That invites the 194 as a loco, but where to run it? The only routes in the game even close chronologically to when 194s were still running would be Mittenwald (already has the 1020), Niddertal (diesel only), and the Rhein line.

Again (I'll just keep repeating myself like Cato): if DTG/TSG are serious about vintage German, they HAVE to develop a 140.

I would really appreciate Livery Designer Comparability of the Falns.
