Hey all, Been enjoying TSW5 on my Steam Deck. Unfortunately, I can't figure out where my photos from photo mode are located. Any advice? Thx.
Does Linux have a similar file structure to Windows? If so try looking here on the C: drive. Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld5\Saved\PersistentDownloadDir\PhotoMode
i typed in google tsw 5 photo mode linux location result : AI Overview On Linux, Train Sim World 5 photo mode saves are located in the following directory: ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/<GameID>/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Pictures/Train Sim World 5/Saved/PersistentDownloadDir/PhotoMode. Replace <GameID> with the specific game ID for Train Sim World 5, which can be found by browsing local files through Steam.
Linux does not have drive letters. You could of found that out by typing in does linux have drive letters into Google (or another online search engine of your choice if you do not like to use Google to look things up).
Here's a couple of work arounds I've found since I typed the query: Once you've got your shot lined up in Photo Mode however you want it, Option 1: Use the built in Photo Mode but click the 2nd option (Save and Upload) Or... Option 2: (The one I've gone for on the Steam Deck personally) Hold down the Steam button on the deck and click the R1 trigger <- (The top one on the right) Than if you wanna share it to your other device etc, you can do so via the Steam app, where you can download the image/upload it. Hope it's useful to you guys and thank you for your time to those that responded. Sorry for not getting back to you until now.
True, I could have, but I figured who better to ask than the person running the Linux OS. Either way, the OP got it all figured out
