DTG Matt, would this also be useful for anyone doing beta testing to get that basic build to test things since DTG wants the vanilla build for testing.
I hope the TSW Mod manager for PC will be modified somehow to allow management of mods in the alternative 'UserContent' folder - or would it be possible to move existing mods to that folder (not sure what is the meaning of .ugc format)?
I am very pleased to report that during my one run yesterday to test if AFB locks the throttle under LZB, this has been fixed... had a tiny little heart attack when I saw the traction lock icon pop up during AFB braking, but it went away and throttle resumed once the lower speed was reached... super awesome... on the other hand, LZB continued to supervise even without wire (a common occurence on some services on Frankfurt Fulda)... but this bug is fixed now, which means 411 is finally almost completely awesome
I won't comment on bugs, but I immediately saw significantly increased performance on RTX 3060, even the first run on FTF after update (I assume that means regenerating shaders) was more fluent than FTF was ever before for me. Frankfurt Hbf area is still the same meh around 13 fps, but rest of the route runs much better.
I am thinking of upgrading from 1080 to 3060, would you say it is worth it? cos atm 3060 is selling for a really cool price
I wonder if the answer is to do what the World of Warcraft interface does with its Addon Manager? That brings up every file in the Addons folder, with a tickbox for each to turn off and on, and a 'reload UI' button to reload the game.
This is really a low-end part of the gaming cards at the moment. It runs everything reasonably, but it's not a good investment in future. I would only get it if you are really on limited budget, or if you can get one refurbished with major discount. I will be looking to replace it within 1-2 years with something like 5070 that will be again good for next 7-ish years.
razmatus#251 I am currently running a 4090 which is a year old now. Still giving me great results and, I feel, should for the next 3 - 4 years. A 4080 or 4090 would be a good upgrade now since the 50 series is out which should drop the 40 series prices.
It's pretty well accepted that the best cards are xx70, xx80 and xx90. I'm currently running a 3080, which still does pretty well but unfortunately, I would have to replace my aging PC if I want to upgrade to a 40xx or 50xx.
I am happy on a RTX3070 right now paired with an Intel Core i7-12700K. Initially, I wanted an RTX3060 because it had 12GB of VRAM but read in a few places that it's too slow to utilize the full 12GB of VRAM specifically when it comes to gaming.
This is funny, I have a 3060 as well and for me the performance is really bad after the latest update on select routes (Left Rihne, Training Center), but on Frankfurt Fulda it is smooth
On ps5 I have noticed an improvement in performance so I think a good job has been done. Hopefully this is the beginning of solving the Frankfurt S-Bahn problems so that we can have the full timetable. As an example, I was finally able to complete a flixtrain service to Fulda, I had tried many times before and it always crashed, so the improvement is very visible. However, the game has crashed twice since the update and both times with the map open. This is something that still needs to be improved, the new TSW 5 map, although it is very useful especially for the possibility to see all departure and arrival times on trains and platforms, is obviously a very important memory thief.
How hard is it to implement an ingame list of all DLCs (updated), so that the game knows that everything that is not on this list is not a DLC?
Over in the Players Feedback on the update thread, Dovetail Games - Train Sim World 5 Game Update - June 23rd Feedback Thread | Page 3 | Dovetail Games Forums , it was posted, by IvyJoanTurner, about moving all your mods to a folder in documents, Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld5\Saved\UserContent, from the dlc folder where the game loads them, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 5\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC. Several of us have tried this and it works. Your mods still load into the game if the toggle is set to enable and don't if you have moved it to disable and restarted the game. It should be noted, the game has the be restarted whenever you make a change to this toggle. All my mod pak files are now located in this folder in documents.
tonaz you can put your mods as shown in the image. and enable or disable within the game, but you will still need to restart the game each time you toggle the enable ot disable mods in advanced settings Or you can put the mods you want to use into the DLC folder Steam\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 5\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC Your choice...
