    Thank you Andy

It is hard work but looking back at some of the platform shots, I think it is worth it.

    Horsted Keynes, here I come!

Just looking more closely at the main station buildings at Horsted Keynes and Sheffield Park, I can see that they are both pretty much identical to Kingscote. I was aware that they were all similar, but I am pleased to find that the resemblance is closer than that. This will speed up the creation of HK and SP significantly.

I am preparing the 3DC backdrop image of my track in Train Simulator for HK and synchronising the scale so that I can create the platforms in 3DC and know that they will exactly follow the shape of my track when I import them into Train Simulator.

I will put up some shots of the process soon.

I have taken screenshot of my track layout in Train Simulator and imported it into 3D Canvas as a backdrop and sized it so that a known distance in TS is the same in 3DC. In the attached screenshot, the long cream coloured object fits neatly between two known points in TS and 3DC and this should ensure that whatever I build over the 3DC backdrop will be the correct size in Train Simulator.

Hi Geoff.. Erik here sorry I have not been in touch, no excuses. How are the other stations coming on. As you said, all the stations on the Grinststead line to Lewis, Were built by the same company. Each having some small differences in details, kingscote having been used as a house for a number of years, It had a tew alterations done to it. So when the bluebell took it over = the chance to modify the toilets was undertaken, which I believe before that it was the garage .hope to see more pics soon ..
    Best regards Erik...

    Hi Erik and All
I have finished with Kingscote and have been working on Horsted Keynes, and attach a few screenshots of progress so far.
The platforms are created and placed and the front drive has been completed onto the Downs. I have also made the Cottages on the North West side. The Main Station building is temporarily in place (Kingscote template) waiting for some minor changes to convert it to the HK version and most of the surrounding countryside has been completed.
I can confirm that I will be at the Bluebell Railway Weekend on the 28th & 29th June at Horsted Keynes in the Cinema Room so please come and say hello if your are there.

    Some Shots -

Hi Erik and all who came to the Bluebell Railway at the weekend.

It is always a delight to spend a couple of days at the Railway, chatting to visitors young and old, showing off my work and being impressed at the skills and knowledge of the younger generation, and all the time, Steam Trains are passing a few feet way coming in and going out of the Station with Fenchurch running a shuttle between Horsted Keynes and Sheffield Park in the background from Platform 5.

I took the opportunity to take lots of reference photos early on Sunday before the visitors arrived and had a really good look at the track and platform changes at the south end of platforms 1 & 2. It is a little odd as trains can go no further than the end of Platform 1 as the track is cut off, but this is still work in progress and the Bluebell Railway are looking at options. I have already been able to replicate the changes in my route and can now push on with the rest of the Station Buildings. Apparently the building on Platform 1/2 and 3/4 are basically identical, so that will save some time.

More screenshots to follow when I have made some more progress.

HI Geoff..Erik here.. Thank you for a lovely Saturday.. I really enjoyed it. How was Sunday? A bit busier I would Imagine. I could sit Watch and listen to you chating about the sim and your routes all day. Very entertaining. I was sorry when I had to leave. I am looking fprward to next year already. I tried to change the loco name.. Stepney.. but could not get it to work. Not to worry. It is not that important. Thanks again for great day..Cheers Erik..
