There are multiple black bridges and (!) retaining walls coming into Stockport from Manchester, starting somewhere before the ballast pyramids. Some of the bridges are only black in one direction of travel and you can see the brickwork on the other. Also includes Stockport viaduct itself, which is completely black except for the bits directly illuminated by lamps.
Hey, at least it didn't take months to get a clear answer, like it normally does with these people. The fact that the follow-up questions on this topic remain unanswered speaks volumes. Also, gotta love how ATS immediately went "there were supposed to be achievements, lemme check" only to get completely undermined the next day by a DTG employee.
......the same as no one, and I mean NO ONE on the DTG preview stream knew if the 323 has suspension.
Good route so far, performance drops near the depot and manchester. Along with track sticking out the ground. The (TPE) Trains only say not in service instead of their destination. Would love to see an extension to crewe please! And a 185 or 331!!!!
Instant derail on 323 Longsight Shunt 2 08:40. Also, any reason why platform 2 at Wilmslow doesn't have a PIS screen?
To stop a 390 at Stockport heading south when a red signal is showing, the stop marker is after the "SPAD" point, causing a non completion or needing to stop short of the stop marker. Signal is still visible (PS5)
Is just me or is some of the seating at Piccadilly too big? Especially on the upper level of concourse. Also on the two through platforms. I can't remember what you'd call them but the lean-to things instead of seats, they feel a bit too big, not to scale.
I don't normally buy new anymore, but I got given a voucher for steam, and with the steam discount, thought why not. There's plenty to fix - the ballast the most annoying thing - but overall, it feels al lot less unfinished than most new releases. I like the visuals, although it's a shame some landmarks haven't been included - football grounds the most glaring omission there. The new Manchester Piccadilly is much nicer. More open and busier than Glossop. In fact, DTG, really need to get that version into Glossop and revamp the timetable as I don't think I'll want to revisit it otherwise. I like the fact I can drive the 87 on the route, love neutral sections, but the railtour consist irks me as there is no brake coach included. Just shows the lack of loco-hauled coaching stock in the sim. The plus of this route is it looks really nice and I really enjoy whizzing along between Piccadilly and Stockport especially - a journey I've done so much when working in Manchester. Yes, there's some omissions or errors in the scenery, but you can tell they've worked hard on the scenery, more so than some other routes I could mention. One thing I don't like and perhaps it's just me, but I'm not a fan of the texturing of the station scenery at Manchester Airport. It doesn't look realistic enough to me, but I do wonder if I'm alone in thinking that. I have to admit, had I not been able to get it cheaply, I probably would have held off for a while. That and the lack of a new stock item. But getting it cheap thanks to voucher/discount, swayed my purchase! I know why ATS didn't go to Crewe - I watched the stream the other night- but I would love to see it included maybe in the future. Just as you get going in a Pendolino, you soon reach the end of the line. Crewe would have been the ideal run time for me. While I still think Just Trains are the kings of British TSW DLC, this route shows you can have a nice looking modern route as well.
On the class 323, the “doors closing” beeps only play from one door per carriage instead of both. The “doors opening” beeps play from both. I’m on PC
Found a bug at Heaton chapel station there’s big mountains of ballast there. You can drive through them but is really annoying keep passing it on every run past that station. I’m on ps5 pro
Fairly hilarious incident just now - I was driving 2H42. Left Levenshulme I believe on time. I pass an oncoming 150/153 set, both of us on the cross overs - and I *think* I hit it. In any case I was catapaulted into the air and derailed, game over, etc. So I don't know if those cross overs are too close together or if the models are out of gauge or if it something else happened and it's a total coincidence the 15x set was passing. Without a replay function it's not really possible to tell, and it may well be something you have to get "perfect" to... achieve Was a great service until then in terms of other traffic and I'm really enjoying the route. But that's definitely one to fix if you can reproduce!
Has anyone got the patch yet for xbox. Also just done morning run with the 158 and my God it was really blurry the whole off job it made it look terrible.
Some of the job descriptions are wrong please see circled job a top. It says going wilmslow via Stockport but its actually going from airport to Piccadilly. Completey opposite direction.
I would like to express my gratitude to Alan and all the project participants for the masterpiece they have created. I admire the work that the team has done. After the first announcement of ATS's participation in the TSW project, I was sure that a high-quality product would be released, but the result exceeded all my expectations. There is only one thing missing - the section to Crewe. In this format, the route would be recognized as the top one in the existing collection. I really hope that Alan's team will return to the project and bring it to a logical end point. This day will be a real holiday for me. As a result, for me, this is the best among short routes. Thank you very much for the route. I am looking forward to new works from your team. If anyone has any doubts about purchasing this DLC, I can personally recommend it, you will get great pleasure from the gameplay and the environment. It should appeal not only to gamers from the UK. I really like the suspension of the 323. I am upset why it was not transferred to the 323 with Glossop and Birmingham. I hope that modders will make a replacement of rolling stock like in Boston.
Yes, the tracks are too close together on the crossovers. Considering track laying is one of the first things done in a route (usually) and how long this has been in development it is unbelievable that a route would get to release with such a massive issue in the track layout. Everyone is going on about the attention to detail of trackside clutter, speed sign font, stations etc, but this shows not only a lack of attention to detail but a lack of attention in general. It’s an absolute must that the correct distance is kept between tracks and the track layout is clearly visible on Google maps for reference. The devs must have known about this issue and the beta testers at DTG are supposed to be rammed with railway experts and yet this has got through to release. It’s totally unacceptable and turns a must have route into one to avoid.
1031 1V12 TFW service to Miltord Haven does not have the times on timetable showing once in service. No ETA at Stockport indicated, nor Wilmslow. It does have estimated 'load passengers' timetable though but there is no arrival time either on timetable or the display in top left of screen. PC version.
When you do styal line surfeit. There is alot of stopping at reds. Be careful i was 10 yards from a red and spad. So be careful. This not one you wanna keep having to start over. Too much stopping and starting.
I'd like to echo this, I have most of the UK routes and this is right up there at the top of my list. Manchester Picc is finally proper busy, and the variety of stock available with the layers is brilliant. Crewe would have been a "nice to have" but given the complexity of that area I can understand why it wasn't included - if a "basic" Crewe station had been added then people would have been complaining about not having Basford Hall Yards, if BH had been added then people would have been complaining about not having Gresty, so where do you stop!
Why are we holding people hostage on this route. Not letting them off the train until a certain time. If cant be like that irl can it. DTG Jamie still waiting for xbox patch update have not received it yet.
Correct me if im wrong but is that not the whole point of the scenario? Don't play it if you don't want to stop start. How is this useful feedback?
Where is the translation into Russian? (the same applies to Cargo Line Vol. 4) This is the second expansion without translation - is it political or DTG's decision?
Afternoon, In Ardwick Depot, a set of interactive points are missing. More specifically, the ones to swap tracks between depot sidings 10&11 and 12&13. Before you all say just plot the route, I have tried on multiple occasions just to be wrong routed into the wrong road. Also, the overhead catenary in the depot is all on the floor for some reason. This is all on Xbox series X
Master in switch on put in forward switch ac/dc power button on raise pantograph and continue as normal. Thats how i do it on xbox and works just fine.
Is anyone else noticed that some jobs you are waiting at each station for at least 5mis. Seems a bit long to .e.
Noticed a signal not having appropriate approach control - Man Pic to Levenshulme, 75 to 45mph, should be some sort of app control here, similar to the missing Heald Green to Airport approach control I guess. Below is a run down from a real driver of real life signalling. Hopefully these can be added in a patch?
Collectibles: I can't find two of the trams. I've found the following: Manchester Piccadilly: 1 Ardwick Depot: 1 Gatley: 1 Heald Green: 1 Manchester Airport: 2 Alderley Edge: 1 Stockport: 1 Cheadle Hulme: 1 Does anyone have an idea where the others are hidden?
Have same issue on PC. Have done today some first test drives in timetable. Came from south into Airport. Wanted to change into 350, but didnt get this thing to run. The setup is at end really not difficult with the english trains, done it often enough, but this 350 here dont want. Tried several times. After I leaved the cab and walked back to a 323, the 350 departs as KI - WITHOUT pantograph!!! Honestly, I have the suspicion it could be perhaps caused from one of the last updates. As I tested some days ago the Cardiff Route, I had a similar problem. Wanted to take over a train - but I didnt get the train to run. Had DTG patched something to death again?
Oh wow, something that half-arsed, I think this might be a hard no on me EVER buying anything from this dev.
Some litte other stuff: on a station (I think it was on the Styal line, but dont know anymore where exactly) one station platform was a little too close to the train. And something that already was mentioned several times - but that it is not to be forgotten: I wonder too: how did that happen? Thats even more obvious as those weird concrete blocks at the end of the Derby platforms on the Midland Mainline. Another example that the QA is questionable in their doings. But overall: the route itself feels okay. Could have it been longer to Crewe? YES. Because it would have been a much more good oportunity to give the 390 more time for driving. (As with the Mildmay Line - a extension would interesting). But at the end its okay with two branches, two nice end points (Airport, Manchester), and some good oportunitys to drive the 323 up to 60-75mph. That picadilly can get more explored by foot is nice too. On another station, you can walk outside the station on a parking lot. OUTSIDE a station, how nice is that! (but why on the other hand the skywalk on the airport can only walked less then half way?) Thats something that I miss on most of the routes. I dont expect to walk through the whole city, but at least some metres outside a station building, but often it ends already at a door into the station building itself, or at single platforms at the stairs on a platform as for example on the Kaiserslautern - Mannheim route.
Noticed another signal issue for any potential patch: The double flashing yellow on Down Styal before Styal for the airport is implemented (nice), but after the single flasing yellow the next signal is a red with feather - however, this does clear to green upon passing over the AWS. There shouldn't be a red aspect after a flashing yellow, I believe.
It's a shame the planes at Manchester airport don't actually land, just disappear in the air. I stopped especially to see one land! That's something that could be done way back in MSTS, I know, my route had them. Even though it's not important, would be nice to see it implemented some time.
It's a shame that the DB Class 66 that comes with the route appears to be a different variation from previous models, and has therefore meant all of my Creators Club liveries are not compatible. I don't appreciate that ATS.
Wandering around Piccadily station, the PIS screens on platforms 6,7, 8, 9 and 10 are showing the same info. All show a 21:47 service to Manchester Airport. The platform number on each is correct for its platform, but each one is showing the same service on it. Platforms 1-5 all have the right service info on them.
Just bought it for Xbox Series X. My first run was in the 323 departing Piccadilly for Alderley Edge, by the time I got to the first stop at Levenshulme I have blurred textures. Great.
Been playing this a lot tonight. Does anyone else find the timings too generous in places? I was on a 350 run to the airport and arrived 6 minutes early. Wasn't even speeding or close to it.
