Chinese (Simplified), French, Russian and Spanish are supposed to be officially supported language in the TSW core. However, every DLC released since Thomas 80th (not including it) and some addons before this have been missing support for the three four languages (with ONLY English and German support). This is very frustrating and is bad for players in such regions - as not everyone know English and German well, particularly Chinese players (You would very often see them speaking up in steam reviews to add Chinese support for those games that does not). Reduction on sales from those regions are also more than possible. Upon contacting Dovetail Support on this matter, I received the following reply: I fear that the "necessarily apply to every add-on" will mean all every single non-core-bundled addon. So I'm here to make a suggestion to return the support of those languages. If Dovetail really can't afford a translation team, just feed text to AI translation services and rely on community for correction, at least AI translated text is better than nothing.
The others suffer too, don't they? The Portuguese, the Dutch, the Italians, 2/3rds of the Swiss, the Czech, the Slovakians, the Slovenians, the Belarusians, the Montenegrins, the Albanians, the Lituanians, the Bulgarians, and many more.
I fully support it, in fact I've created a suggestion with the same thing to do more pressure to dovetail.
Yes of course they do, the thing is that the game has never been translated for them, with this I do not mean that I am against the game being in those languages, but if they stop translating it to the originally that they did, but it is impossible to release it in those languages.
