In the external view, they don't really work and are stuck in place. Only when you scroll really close and look from bottom to top do they move. A fix would be appropriate here, too - unfortunately almost 1 year without a fix after reporting it
Ancalagon You play at TSW4? So yes?! You can upgrade to TSW5 or better wait a few weeks and pick the Free TSW6 Starter Pack and change you're content to TSW6 with no extra cost! Then you have the latest version of this loco. I believe this loco is buggy in TSW4 and a lot is fixed in TSW5 already.

Why not? Its free if you use the TSW6 starterpack and you get the latest fixed versions from your'e existing addons. For TSW4 you will not receive any update in the future. The 218 for example is fixed after the release with TSW5 so you own a outdated version with existing bugs. And again when you choose to upgrade its for free and you get the new core futures even for free. Best solution is to wait for the TSW6 starterpack that will arrive with the release of TSW6 in september October.
Because that is my descision. And it's not true - according to the support these things will also get fixed for TSW4 when players report them
Ancalagon You probably misunderstood. No updates will be released for older versions of TSW. It's logical you could (or still can) switch to TSW5 for free. You yourself chose to stick with TSW4 despite DTG repeatedly urging you to upgrade, so DTG won’t patch anything there. Again, with TSW6 you can transfer all your existing content to the TSW6 game for free and you also get the new core updates with improvements for free. Don’t be so stubborn and just switch to TSW6.
After the release of TSW 5, there were one or two patches for TSW 4, but that's it. Development of TSW 4 has been discontinued, there will be no further patches or fixes for TSW 4. Import your profile and game progress, uninstall TSW 4, and simply forget about the outdated version. But hey, everyone uses the version they want to play. I can understand it because of the achievements (which, however, cannot be completed 100%), but everything else makes no sense.
You're absolutely right, and it's totally fine to stick with TSW4. However, the question he's asking does contradict that a bit. He doesn't want to switch, yet he expects to have the latest features. That's why my advice is purely this: if you do want the latest things, take advantage of the free upgrade. And if you're unsure, you can keep both versions installed. That way, you can first get a feel for what TSW6 is like.
A stream is not an official support right?! This is not a point where they can active stay in contact with users who experience issues and a misunderstanding is easily made in this case. But in this case i can ask for a more clear point of view by DTG Alex or DTG Harry can you give the final answer here....?!
Maybe misinformation given by the supporter. Supporters aren't devs and have nothing to do with the current development. They help you with problems, forward your reports etc. It makes no financial sense to continue developing TSW 4, as you could then continue to demand patches for TSW 2020, 2, and 3, which would render a new TSW version and all the work that goes into it completely pointless. Furthermore, it is hardly feasible to finance the parallel support of older versions, which generates unnecessary work / dev time and would consume all profits. After a new TSW version is released, the patches overlap for a short time, there are 1-2 fixes for the old version, and that's it. That's how it was with all the other TSW versions, and I'm sure it will remain that way for future TSW versions. Once TSW 6 is released, TSW 5 will sooner or later meet the same fate.

A company should definitely inform its employees (supporters) according to that. And the employees of the official stream should also be aware of this and communicate it. That way, I could have saved myself the posts here because they told me to do so here. However it's still disappointing that Dovetail completely ignored the bug, even though it was reported directly after the release of DB BR 218
Thats not the whole story to be fair. You had the option to change from TSW4 to 5 for "free" so its also a your'e own choice to ignore this option
From our side as 3rd party developer the fix was done even before the release. But the overall story of how things will reach the customers is way different. The loco was released when the transitioning to TSW5 was already ongoing and it was probably to late for any further fixed to being integrated into the release version. You need to know that doing a fix, what might take 5 minutes to do, does not automatically mean it will be pushed out a day later. That takes weeks or even months. And for a single fix there will be no update to the game, only when really game breaking. And since TSW5 was free for the core game there is no good reason to invest time into the old version anymore. There were nothing lost when upgrading to TSW5.
Maik Goltz I wonder why you wouldn't choose a free update to the newer version of the game. You get free core updates, and the add-ons include the latest updates and will continue to be supported in future updates of the new game version. This is a typical gamer who demands everything but makes no effort on their own side to contribute anything. As a developer, you can never get it right for someone like that. A wasted effort, I’m afraid.

Exist also for over one year and report was ignored the whole time although people ask for fix multiple times --> Sure there is. It's called achievements! There are people which want to complete them all. In general, it's nonsense to publish a new part every year (that's why I stopped playing EA SPORTS FC™ parts). But that's another topic.
Funfact: I tested same with the BR218 in TSW5 and even there these bug exist. What is Dovetail's excuse for not adding a bugfix for that in TSW5 - preparing TSW6 right after the release of TSW5?! Maybe there will be a fix in TSW6 - not.
As a 3rd party dev i can only do what i am able to do. I can do the fixes and provide the data to DTG. I have no influence on how and when or if the data gets pushed out to the players. That's a new information to me. Let me check that again. I am sure we have fixed that a good while ago. Maybe it got re-introduced with the latest patch what brought the blue-beige version into the game.

Yeah, can confirm it is back. But no idea why, yet. I will try to investigate it soon (not yet). But definitely no chance to patch it in TSW5 now. I recommend to upgrade to TSW6 when it is released and the chance is better to have that finally fixed. That's all i can do for now.
