    Hello!

I apologize if this topic has already been discussed here, but I was searching and didn't find anything...

I have Train Simulator Classic, and I notice that the sound in the train cabin is quite strange. The sound is very low, and you can barely hear anything (not the engine, not the brakes, etc.).

I remember playing with a friend a few years ago, and the sound in the cabin was actually quite realistic.

I have a very new computer (Windows 11).
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

    Thanks and best regards!

I always play TSC with ear pods connected via Bluetooth to the TV.
For some reason, the sound is a lot better / clearer than through the native TV speaker.

Since the 64 bit upgrade the sound is pretty much forced 3D, and the coefficients are way more aggressive.
I did watch a left-only video recently on the TV and I didn't mind at all, but with headphones it was intolerable. Unfortunately the 2D separation is massively different for headphones vs speakers next to your old 15" CRT. A 100% pan means 90° with headphones but about 15° with speakers.

For example, horns are always 100% panned now in two-seat cabs. They are usually above in the middle, but you are sitting to the left or right of it, meaning you cannot hear anything in the other ear. Which is unrealistic.

In a similar fashion, sound from behind is muted, too.

    That's the root cause imo.
