Its a reduced timetable and its very empty hardly any ai traffic. The main stations feel like ghost towns.
The route would be an instant buy for me with the full timetable, especially with 20% off. Unfortunately the reduced version on consoles is far away from a busy route like on PC. Hopefully they will add the full timetable one day if the performance optimization works as planned. For now I keep my hands off it.
It's an okay route but is a sea of DB red. Even with the alternate routings can get a bit repetitive.
If you like commuter style routes and/or German rail, you’ll like this. There’s 3 different paths so it offers some change of pace. If you like long, high-speed runs, then you probably won’t like it.
If you are on console absolutely no, wait until they add the full timetable, i'm not buy this until this happens, even if this route cost only one euros
If you’re on PC, sure. If you’re console I’d avoid it. The route feels empty and lifeless without the extra AI traffic. I don’t own the route personally, but I have watched plenty of comparison videos of PC vs Console versions, and I wasn’t happy with what I saw. I did pick up rosenheim salzburg though finally. I’m contemplating the Worcester route now, but I’m not a huge fan of US routes so it’s impacting my decision.
The actual route IRL is great with lots of flyovers, yards, complex junctions and mini-branches snaking off from the mainlines and DTG does a pretty good job reproducing that. But without the full timetable the route on TSW is ghost town quiet. You can get around this limitation to an extent by building a scenario from scratch in Creator's Club and populating it with "banned" rolling stock but ymmv as memory limitations will make the game extremely sluggish and even crash it if you get too ambitious. So unless you are really fond of this route and are wiling to spend a lot of time in CC to make it more realistic I would skip it. I am ashamed to say my train nerdery got the best of me and I bought the route solely because of my longtime fondness for it IRL.
