I thought it would be fun to open a poll to see what everyone's favourite TSW route is up to this point. I see lots of threads related to ranking locos, EMUs etc but none for the actual routes themselves.

Apologies if I missed it, but seeing as though we have had a relatively new route in RRO, it's probably time for a fresh poll anyway.

This may also provide some good feedback to DTG themselves in consideration for future DLC

So what say you Dovetail-eans, what's your go to route ?

Personally for me, it is RSN. The Route is terrific, picture-esque and when PZB is enabled, offers a fantastic challenge which constantly keeps you on your toes

GWE, I just love the HST, the only thing is lacks is length, by the time I’m up to see and bombing along it’s time to slow down at Reading.

Interesting early results. NTP - a route I've not really played much - in the lead and, despite all the bitching about how rubbish a short route must be, RRO in second place.

I voted NTP though RRO is very good so it was close for me

Yep, I am actually quite surprised to see RRO so high up there....maybe it is just 'new route hype' ?

I haven't bit the bullet on that one yet as I was turned off by the high cost:route length ratio....but I do love the German content in TSW though so I will def be getting it at some point.

I think it's actually one of the best routes. The end-to-end freight runs are pretty quick, but the scenery is more interesting than MSB, the 422 passenger route keeps you really busy with loads of stops, and additional regional services add in with the other German trains so there's loads to do on there.

I voted for RRO, moved to pole position and left MSB second now :)
It's the playing time for the route - fits perfectly for "one ride after work". Beautiful route, wonderful 422, it makes me overlook small issues easily. The sound of 422 is sooo good, very authentic, much immersion!

NT Pennine, I like the skills required controlling speed on the downhill sections, watching for all speed restrictions, lots of variations of scenarios and stock (with the Heavy Haul addon). Never a boring moment .. except the slow progress with the full oil struggling up the inclines..

Having visited Germany recently, I’ve fell in love with their rail network, having always avoided non-UK routes in MSTS/TS/TSW, I now own all the German ones and RRO is one of the best TSW has to offer, bustling surburban route, I’m a fan!

Shaun123 Get the locos, too and you might find yourself playing those three (four if RT) over 400 hours, believe me ;-)

NTP on a par with the 3 German routes (rro msb rsn) for me WSR followed by GWE and TVL. GWE would be higher, but needs additions.

Just to add. Both GWE and RT, are great routes, i think the 166 and the Talent 2, could have better sound quality (like the 422), also the routes needs some quality touches. And imagine GWE with a couple of branch extensions, and RT with Leipzig Hbf, and RE services to Dessau.
