Introduction: The London to Aylesbury line runs from London Marylebone to Aylesbury Vale Parkway with a length of 36 miles. Services are operated by Chiltern Railways, although Metropolitan line services run as far as Amersham. Here is a route map: For the sake of playability, the Met lines to Chesham, Watford and Baker Street should also be included. Why this route should be made: -Diesel Chiltern services as well as London Underground services -Brings the highly requested Metropolitan line into the game -Fast & slow Met line services -Views of London Skylines as well as rural Chiltern Hills -Chiltern trains share tracks with London Underground so there would be 2 signalling systems to learn (LU & NR) -Would make bringing a full Chiltern Main Line into the game easier since Marylebone would be already built -Other potential DLC that could be added (A stock and class 168) Rolling stock: Class 165: These would be seen operating the half-hourly Marylebone to Aylesbury service, with every other service extending to Aylesbury Vale Parkway. They have 2-car and 3-car variants. S8 stock: These would be seen operating Metropolitan line services from Baker Street to Amersham, Chesham and Watford. They are formed of 8 coaches. Layers: -The 1972 stock could represent AI Jubilee line services between Finchley Road and Wembley Park -The S stock could be seen running District line services at Barking (GOBLIN), and Hammersmith & City line services between Paddington and Westbourne Park (GWE). -The class 165 could be seen at West Ealing (GWE) to represent the daily Chiltern service that used to run. Here is a cab ride of the route: Through the Chiltern Hills (Aylesbury VP-Marylebone / P. Risborough-Aylesbury) - DRIVER'S EYE VIEW Thanks for reading the suggestion.
Top route here, dont' it? Already been suggested many times in the past (by me & others)! Personally, would also include the Aylesbury–Princes Risborough branch. Just to add that extra "rural" touch to the route. Also like the idea of having the two initial side-by stretches (LU to Baker Street & Chiltern to Marylebone). It's not often you see an Underground and standard Line so well integrated. First-day purchase here!
