Good day I was looking for an alternative to the Google Maps API I found: "MapTiler google" based on proxy, and "NodeApp" Unfortunately after installing according to the instructions it does not load tiles to RailWorks The second one I found is "RWDecal2.2.16" based on GoogleEarth (with a modification of an older version) Unfortunately after installing the program does not work for me. After clicking RWDecal.exe does not start (it is not even visible in the task manager) So maybe it is because it is written in python 2.6 and maybe windows10 does not support this older version correctly Or the RWDecal program downloaded from the network is corrupted I found it on web.archive.org and downloaded from there RWDecal2.2.16.msi (and it is 7.65 MB (bytes: 8,029,847)) I tried to download a version from another year, but it is definitely corrupted because I have (1.00 MB (bytes: 1,048,576)) Another program I found is MapyCZforTS2 (JachyHm) available on github.com and this one after a fairly simple configuration does what it should and this way I have the terrain from Google in the simulator and I also understood the process of marking the trail using GPS Markers I think the information may be useful for others, so that's why I posted it here Best regards Witold

MapTiler didn't work for me I used node-v22.15.1-x64 (although the program has old links to node-v16.15.0-x64) If it works for you, what version of node? Best regards Witold

I've just checked, and it works. The only thing I can say is that MapyCZforTS2.exe must be running before launching RailWorks. And it must be installed on your Windows system: windowsdesktop-runtime-6.0.36-win-x86.exe. That's all I can help you with. It works. Best regards.
It actually worked for you, the MapyCZforTS2 software get the tiles ("Aerial"), the problem is in other parts of the world where it returns these tiles as shown in Czech language. "Pro toto přiblížení nemáme k dispozici mapový podklad. Zkuste zvolit jiný přiblížení nebo jiný mapový podklad." Enter some coordinates of the Czech Republic into "TS" using MapyCZforTS2 and you will notice that it works without this message in the blocks and gets the satellite images. Out of curiosity to try to understand this, I decided to install Mapy.com on my smartphone and I ended up understanding, it returns the same problem as messages in Czech language if I apply full zoom. So I minimized as much as possible in the slider bar inside the simulator ("Tools > Google Maps > Zoom Level"), it captures images from other parts of the world, but with very low quality.
