Im sick to death every time i start playing this there as to be some thing wrong am i the only one that feels this way about the game. Now i can go play classic and not have any problems but every time on TWS5 im finding error's here is another one light in the Class 153 blocking the information again looks like no ones checking theses before being put out for sale. Can i asking DTG Matt why once we have brought dlc's we have to test them should they not be bug free before we buy them More bad work again by djblitz#4512 posted Jul 20, 2025 at 6:57 AM More bad work again by djblitz#4512 posted Jul 20, 2025 at 6:57 AM
Because bug free is not possible. Even the best of developers in tsw have bugs in their dlc. It may be much less but they won't be able to fix every single bug since it's software
Well they should not put them out on sale till they do make them bug free i buy a lot of games for the PC and this as to be the worst one when it comes to being wrong after paying hard earned money other componys bring out up dates and have no problems with there dlcs what makes dovetail be any different
I've played a lot of other types of game, Tomb Raiders, Final Fantasys, driving games, and none of them have any had any bugs that I've been aware of. Why should it be expected to be a thing?
I havea sim racing rig and i play a lot of driving games like ive been told the unreal engine makes the game stutter how come it dont make other games made on it do the same all ways has to be other people and not them that are wrong with there mistakes
bug free is literally impossible, however it is no coincidence that all dlcs that have the "rivet touch" are worse than those of dtg itself (this is the case of wcml: london euston-milton keynes, cardiff city network, etc)
There’s bugs and there’s glaring visual errors which should never have made it by the 3D modeller’s eyes let alone QA through to release.
To make it bug free would make it too expensive for me. Gameplay bugs are worst, visuals an irritant. As a lowly console player I just appreciate its existence on those platforms. I'd like it improved, obviously.
Not to defend DTG in any way or form, but I played Snowrunner on release at PS4 and it crashes a lot. Shortly after release it was Playstation deal of the week while it was still not fixed, it didn't feel right to people who bought it on release and still wheren't able to play it. Years later I bought it on Xbox, guess what, it crashes all the time and it took them a half year to fix it. I also bought Farming Simulator 22 on release, it was the 1st game on my new Xbox. The game had a lot of bugs, performance issues and it took them a while to fix them. The main issue with TSW is the fact they move on to quickly to a new version of the game, while bugs and performance issues are still not fixed. There is already a performance optimization announced for TSW6, why not bring this optimization to TSW5 before moving over to the next game.
You act like there aren’t artifacts everywhere in TSC Terrible models Terrible sounds Missing functionality.
im not acting nothing im just sick as i said about parting with my cash for low level LOVE when it comes to dlcs they charge you high prices £24 plus on PC and there full of bugs which they should check before putting on sale
It's getting ridiculous at this point... Every time I purchase any type of DLC from this game I just brace myself for whatever glaring issue comes along with it. If you produce enough content full of bugs then your customers will expect there to be bugs on anything you put out and hesitate before purchasing. I don't know any company who wants to be known for their bugs or lack of quality control so I don't know what's going on in this case...
And don't forget to mention the lack of fixing bugs. DLC's released years ago are still having issues.
The answers are simple: 1: management give unrealistic deadlines for DLC - resulting in errors/unfinished content 2: management are happy to ship unfinished content 3: management are happy to publish poor quality third party content 4: management are happy to hide behind the community team If the management changes, maybe we will see changes in the content. note: when I refer to management I mean those above Matt who call the final shots.
Yeah which is why I feel bad when I see folks report bugs about a route that is old and forgotten because the devs are obviously overlooking it.
They just ignore those bugs as you read from others they have already made a bugreport long time ago.
Yes I noticed someone just posted a SPAD bug on DRA. Precious little chance of that getting investigated let alone fixed. Then we have Rivet with their catalogue of bugs and issues in their back collection, including that old chestnut of the incorrect 20 MPH speed limit on the St Ives branch all the way from Carbis Bay to St Erth. It would take a few minutes to sort that so the correct speed of 30 MPH shows up after the foot crossing, but blatantly (and I say that because Jasper has been pinged direct several times about it) ignored. The only answer is to vote with your wallet. I have long ceased to buy every single piece of content like a devoted lapdog and either pass it by if not of interest or wait for a deep sale. Exactly why, in addition to lingering quality concerns, I won’t be purchasing the Class 170 reskin/timetable pack when it releases later today.
I want to play Rapid Transit, but after asking on here about the state of the DLC, I didn't buy it. There is a derail on this route (S6 I believe), the issue is reported long time ago, but from what I understood, it's still not fixed. Then there is also the sound issue of the 1442, to quiet like other trains of TSW and TSW2020, but on the 1442 you can't open the window for some extra volume. So yeah, I vote with my wallet, I don't buy a route with broken services due to a derail.
The route itself is quite nice, particularly the underground section, in an early TSW way. But yes, the sounds, or rather lack of, on the 1442 completely destroy the immersion, no tactile feel at all just seems you are skimming/floating over the rails in a hovercraft.
To be honest I don't think I'll be buying anything TSW at full price anymore until the major issues are fixed. I was extremely disappointed with the North London Line and Class 378, it looks really nice on the surface, but then there are major bugs and problems with the route and train that wont keep me playing until there is a substantial update. It seems that old routes get forgotten so quickly once the next route gets released.
It's something that's not gonna change. Look at sehs extension, dtg said they basically had to rebuild the route when they did the extension, yet there's problems still present from the original version.
It's what they always say, which confuses me as surely if they are rebuilding the section entirely, surely it wouldn't look identical to the TSW2 version. I don't know a thing about game design but when they say rebuild it confuses me a lot, mainly when that part of the route looks identical to the TSW2 version, maybe with a couple of scenery updates.
It's like I read on this same forum once, when dtg releases a dlc (whatever it may be) it releases it as if it were the best thing in the world, the best thing ever created and updates it once or twice and then it falls into oblivion along with all the others and that's not to mention the annual releases of a "new" game which only makes everything worse, more core bugs, more dlc bugs and so a snowball of bugs forms
Well if we all stuck together and stopped buying there dlc's when there not making any money they would soon put things right im going to look into how the law is on gaming componys seeing as it looks to me false pretences in the videos they put out making look like there nothing wrong with there dlc till we buy them and find out there full of them classic runs better then this
I mean, part of the problem is just how many people will watch the preview streams, see the bugs, jank and unfinished bits, and then go ahead and buy the route anyway.
People will always buy it. From now on I'll be getting new iterations of tsw via gamepass. Don't know why I never thought of doing this before.
In all fairness when I bought the North London Line DLC, I hadn't really bought a TSW DLC in quite a while, and the last one I did before the North London Line was the GOBLIN. I was very happy with the GOBLIN route and train. Plus in the preview stream and first looks the route looked highly accurate and detailed, with a well made train as well. Aside from the lack of passengers (which Matt said they were looking into - it's been nearly 5 months) and the blurry textures which I fix by turning off some layers, the route looked really nice. As someone who has been on the NLL quite a lot, some of the inaccuracies and bugs really put me off from playing the route. The sounds are completely wrong and there's even one station that looks nothing like how it does IRL (West Hampstead if anyone's wondering). Anyway I've learnt my lesson and wont be buying anymore DLCs unless there are sales or until DTG and other 3rd parties stop releasing unfinished routes.
Unfortunately for the 30 people, or so, that voice their concerns on the forum there's tens of thousands that don't, that just accept unfinished DLC. DTG will jump on that as ""we get little feedback telling us things are wrong""
I bought SnowRunner day 1 on PS4. I don’t remember any crash. Bugs here and there, sure. I may have experience 3 or 4 crashes in hundred of hours I played, but nothing like "a lot". It’s strange that we had such a different experience with the game.
