Building Amtrak cascades, and the sounder in Washington State would be gorgeous! All the scenery and beautiful route through the evergreen state. Bring in the F59PHI if you can
I agree. The full Sounder line between Everett and Tacoma, WA is 81.8 miles long which is doable in game. The route would give operators a bit of everything. The route sees BNSF freight, Amtrak Cascades, and Amtrak's Empire Builder and Coast Starlight, in addition to Sounder. Possible locos/rolling stock: -BNSF: SD75M/SD75I, GP60/GP60M-3/GP60B, GP50/GP25, GP39-3 (rebuilt ex-BN GP30s/GP35s/GP39Es/Ms/Vs), SD60M-3, ET44C4, C44-9W/AC44C4M rebuild, B40-8, B40-8W, GP38-2 (including some patched ex-BN locos) with BNSF freight equipment, including Boeing Fuselage Train equipment for the Renton Boeing facility that is located along the route (way cool operation, by the way; and one that is needed for this route). -Cascades: SC44 Charger, Siemens Venture Coaches/Cab Cars (coming soon), Horizon Cars, Amfleets, or Talgo Coaches/Cab Cars -Seattle Sounder: MP40PH-3C and/or F59PHI w/ Bombardier Bi-Level Coaches/Cab Cars -Amtrak: ALC-42 Charger, P42DC, or P32-8BWH (occasionally seen on CS) w/ Superliners All of the passenger cars need full interiors.
Also, in addition, you could throw in the Amtrak Cascades F59PHI. That loco was a classic and part of the peak era of Amtrak on the west coast.
Day 1 purchase for me!! I would absolutely be in to this for sure. I love the PNW, its such a scenic beautiful part of the country. The Renton Rocket would be such a cool service to run. Or even Everett-Bellingham-Custer hint hint wink wink !!
I would love to see something like this although unfortunately the F59PHI wouldn't be able to be included since its been retired from Amtrak Cascades. If this route sees the light of day then we would get to see the Talgo Series 8 along with the first Airo trainset that is beginning service next year. Amfleets and Horizons could be included as well. Now when it comes down to stuff such as Sounder licensing as well as freight railroads actually cooperating with DTG. That's the only roadblock but this would be a great route.
Oh no! Someone tell JT they can't make all that BR blue, and TSG that Niddertalbahn isn't allowed to have the 628!
This is my dream TSW route, as I live right by it. I would buy this day one! Would love the SD75 or a F59PHI.
