Railway 200 celebration pack. Doncaster to Darlington route extension, National Railway Museum, Shildon and Stockton included, released on 27th September.
my wild guess is that there will be some kind of in-game Ebula, cos that will make the community go wild enough to be more forgiving when it comes to inevitable launch bugs
Not in the TSW game world, every single game has released either on a Friday, and that's rare, or a Tuesday, Thursday. The Friday is normally for early access if you get the special editions. I've been playing since the very start of its console life and no Saturday release has ever happened......
Examples? Generally speaking, one would expect a release of anything to be during the week, when there are (more) customer service reps available.
The 458s were always a bit of a weird fleet anyway. I personally doubt that the plan with the 450s and 458s will actually go ahead. I'm pretty sure that the 458s will stay on the services they are now and the 450s will too. A battery train replacement for the 158s is also unlikely, as there has been no successful UK battery train, let alone one that could do a service as long as Waterloo to Exeter. I'm actually reasonably optimistic for the 350/2s. The last few years in UK railways proves that anything can happen. Someone raised the possibility of them going to SWR but I'm not sure they'd want the hassle of converting them to third rail use.
I'd love to have Fort William in Mallaig! (We could run our beautiful steam engines and some Class 101s!) But I think for the UK, the Riviera should be almost a sure thing. In any case, if this line comes out, I'd take the TSW6 on D-Day just for it! For Germany, an extended remaster of the Ruhr would be so cool!! USA, Montana?
I think an extended HRR would be great, probably Dortmund to Düsseldorf. I'm not really sure what runs on that line, possibly the red Thalys TGVs?
Although FSN pushes TSW, we really need a similar network for the Ruhr area, joining and extending what we already have. However I suspect those two early routes - HRR and RRO would need to be rebuilt from scratch as they were built very early on. RRO at least would need the sudden gradient changes smoothed out.
It will be something with plastic dmu's or emu's. That takes less than 30 minutes to drive, end to end.
I guess ppl will never get tired of the "plastic DMU/EMU" gatekeeping stuff *sigh*... how about letting ppl enjoy whatever trains they like, without that condescending tone, hm?
as someone who likes modern units, fine by me ... but yeah, it is true we could have more loco-hauled stuff in the game... but keeping it modern (personally, I prefer electrics, sometimes diesels, over steam or very old diesels - my fav train is Siemens Desiro ML... and I am kinda fond of Slovak EMU 671/971 aka Škoda dosto EMU)
Es muss nicht ein desiro HC sein es kann auch ein alter Fahrplan sein zum Beispiel 2007 waren n wagen, dostos 3 und 4 Generation und Fernverkehr
You mean like the TfW 150, TfW 153, Metrolink F59PHR, DB 111, MBTA HSP46, MBTA F40PH, Metrolink MP36, Metrolink F125, DB 114, DB 146, DB Vectron, and Flixtrain Vectron...? And that's just during TSW5 and ignoring all 3rd party releases.
hear me out, i think it could be České Budějovice in the Czech Republic to Linz in Austria because its the first railway in continental Europe and its 200 years old in 2025. its like 130km but i think they could do that
maybe they could add a czech route like Praha-Pardubice its very busy and they could include: Vectron for IC,EC sevices, ČD class 362 for R services From Prague to Kolín and regional services for Pardubice to kolín, ČD class 471 for regional services and maybe ČD class 660 EMU for R services between Prague and pardubice. they could also add the RailJet Taurus or the ČD Pendolino as a part of deluxe edition like the flix train vectron in tsw 5 because railjet also operates on this route. ROUTE INFORMATION: lenght: 103km, number of services: i couldnt count but im assuming link 300-400 plus freight. lemme know what you think
Don't get to overwhelmed, but I doubt we will ever see a Czech route by any of the "professionel" developers. There isn't much interest in Czech routes in the TSW community and there a lot of other countries which only got one route so far, or have no route in TSW yet, which a much larger fanbase. If you'd want to see a Czech route, your best bet would probably be SimRail, as they focus on Poland which is right next to Czechia.
It doesn't have to be a Desiro HC, it can also be an old timetable, for example in 2007 there were n cars, Dostos 3rd and 4th generation and long-distance traffic.
Surely they could just use the 701/5s and then bin off the 458s? From what I've read the prepandemic timetable was busier than the timetable we have now. Or they could use the 701/5s as the new battery train to replace the 158s/159s? Redo their interior to make it suitable for longer journeys and happy days. The /5s have work for them so no need to send them elsewhere.
To be honest, I don't think anyone knows the future of the 458s going off what I've read on RailUk forums.
