What does Head Plate do on the LMS Jubilee Crimson? I tried all of the Scenarios for this train but none of them told me to change the Head Plate.

    Please and thank you

It’s just optional thing that you can put on the front of the locomotive

Ok while I get that, what purpose does it serve?

    Please and thank you

its a train name plate used in steam days (in the UK) for some of top link express trains that used to run, rather than having a number and letter head code on the front.
the flying scotsman (the train not the loco) being one of the most famous, others were the mid day scot, the elizabethan, golden arrow, red dragon and the pines express to name a few
their purpose was to set them apart from just being any normal train, the practice still goes on today on railtours around the uk
in terms of the loco it dose nothing just sits on the front.
