    My question is this I’ve been thinking about the new 180 psck and what I want to know is it compatible with coupling to the pacer and sprinters like the Scotrail 170 does

    180 pack? I'm going to presume you meant 170.

    If the ScotRail one does, these ones likely will.

    They definitely couple- I was messing around in free roam in the XC 170 and tried to couple to an EMT 158, there was a definite coupler whoosh of air, but didn’t manage to see if it would move. Hope this helps you out.
