Just to let everyone know, I'm currently taking a small break from working on certain parts of the project. Will be looking at some modelling while I wait till my google static maps api allowance resets.

Timetable has a few more layers to go which usually causes more services to tweeked.

Big update: Decided to connect the church fenton branch of line to Gascoigne Yards.
Which means the timetable needs fixing once I've set up signals and junctions and portals, which means a lot more freight services can be drivable.

The reasoning was as they are quite close to existing portals it would be more feasible to connect those up to allow cleaner and less messing around in the timetable.

And the northern area of the map is more a future thing, the main focus is south yorkshire section which will get most of the buildings/stations/scenery stuff done first.

When I release the alpha which will be for timetable testing and feedback not much in terms of scenery or visual stuff, I won't restrict anyone from accessing the northern section as one that's not really fair and two making a copy of the timetable just to restrict that would be a pain.

Image of Gasocigne Wood Yard and Milford Yards.

Just finished up placing signals and routing some of them, Selby, Milford Yards and Church Fenton are all connected and most the gradient and super elevations are sorted for those areas.

Just need to fix up some markings and work on fixing some services of the timetable to work with the new portals and track.

    So recent update.

Had a issue that took less than a week to fix, was trying to origanise a few things and broke some plugin names but everything is back to normal now.

Timetable layer LNER and Class 150/158 are complete servicewise and operate very well. Will just need to apply descriptions to each service.

Class 170, 195, 222, 323, GrandCentral, EMR, Transpennine Express, Lumo and Hull Trains are progressing slowly.
And freight 66 and 66 AI services are coming along nicely.

Plugin structure for Class 801 for Lumo, Hull Trains, GrandCentral and TPE are setup and ready to be textured.
    Same with 150, 158, 170, Class 43 and Class 66 trains.

Only recently noticed the tracks missing from York Yards and it wasn't a major issue to remove them as they were not apart of the main signal pathing =)

I've placed down temp station platforms for export later and currently going through signals and timetable simulations to check before adding more to the timetable =)

Update: Slow progress, working on signal pathing and junction setup, timetable on hold while these get worked on.

Update 2: Working on track weld joints, slow progress on this one as it needs manually doing.

Big update on the Class 170: No longer using the FifeCircle 170 and swapping over to the recently released XC 170 will be working on livery at some point.

Cleaning up a section of tracks that have jolting issues mainly around hexthorpe area and masborough disused station.

So we don't hijack the other thread.

What file is that you posted. I have never seen that one. For my TTs I have updated existing Station Directories but never created one from scratch. So I can't comment on if there is a problem with the editor.

Works with everything else, so I assume it is related to that but I need to test more.
So I think something is not working correctly in the editor as previous trains that showed the destination are now showing not in service.

Big Update: The route is now playable in the main game, still working on this process and not everything is working right yet.
Fixed my stationdirectory and everything is functioning correctly again.

So regarding the cooking and paking, right now it doesn't work quite right, timetable and formations have to be inside the main mod plugin folder which isn't great for organisation and updateability.

Worked on Mexborough Station a bit more, ramp is modelled just not in editor yet, mostly blocking out and cleanup of platform geometry.
Passengers are fully working on the station.

Working on the timetable again 150, 158, 170, LNER, HullTrains, GrandCentral, Lumo, Cross Country, Class66 and 66AI layers are mostly complete and need checking over few more times to make sure those are good, 195, SuperTram and TranspennieExpress layers are still in progress, 195 should be complete soon, SuperTram and TranspennieExpress will take a bit longer.

Simulation results are going well, once I'm happy with the results from a full sim of with all layers except supertram and TP services, I will work on TP after 195 as SuperTram is a very busy section.

Full sim of timetable once TP layer is complete then supertram work which will be slow.

    SuperTram Layer
    upload_2025-8-24_20-39-44.png

    Update:
195 Layer is complete doing simulation to sort any issues out.
Two more layers being Supertram and Transpennie Express.

Reworked the sidings signals for Sheffield to make them yard exits to cut down on callon dependencies.

Update: Regarding the data loss, false alarm. Was able to grab an autosaved timetable. Nothing major is lost.

Decided to work on supertram as it was easier than transpennine express layer.
Reworked and worked out the connections to allow easier debugging later on.

This is currently for the Sheffield to Parkgate section, will work out the Meadowhall to Sheffield section later.

Currently working on a supertram vehicle for the route, setting up RVDs, RVMs and SimGraph but need to learn how to set it up properly.

Update: Going to finish up the timetable final layer Tranpennine Express, working through it currently.

Going on a hiatus as I've lost a lot of data after doing a computer movement to new case, windows decided the wipe some data mainly the important stuff.

So I've lost a month worth of progress. Will be back soon.

It's more I won't be updating here until I'm backup to where I lost the data, will be making a dedicated backup folder on a different drive from now on.

I'm annoyed, fustrated and tired. =P
    -

It'll give me time to rework some stuff though, so its annoying and upsetting but its only mostly timetable related and formations, not a lot changed in terms of the route. (Will need to change some speeds and signals but its managable)

Not sure which platform you're on, but it's worth mentioning Windows 11 update KB5063878 has apparently been causing Solid State Drives' controller IC's to malfunction, specifically when writing or reading large amounts of data, though they're downplaying it. In most cases it's possible to roll-back the update (if you have it) and pause updates so it won't reinstall it straight away. I did it for my rig, no data loss for me since I got a new M.2 for my backups, knock on wood.

No this completely unrelated, I'm not 100% sure but I have an idea what might have happened. It doesn't matter I can redo most the stuff =)

So when I plugged everything back in windows had changed some of the drive letters around so I turned my computer off and switched the sata cables around upon starting again windows had a freakout and renamed and tried to move the content of the drive. But it messed up and wiped the data instead.

I'll reiterate as I have my downloads and documents folders set on my E: drive. And because windows couldn't find it, it tried to search for it but messed up.

Luckily it wasn't to bad and I was able to retrieve most of my data from a backup computer i have.
Unfortunately it's a month old so I lost a bit of tedious work.

I just need to complete the 195, TP, Supertram Layers and a few other ones.

Not sure if you have reinstalled the editor from scratch but if not you might find some more recent files than your backup files
    in the Autosave folder

Unfortunately Windows had deleted the entire documents folder where the everything had been saved.
    So nothing was recoverable.

I'm going through recreating the stuff lost, its just a month worth of stuff that got lost. I had a backup on a seperate computer from a month ago, so its not to bad.
I've set up my computer to backup onto a dedicated drive for backups now and it does it daily.

Luckily I've always kept a backup drive of everything I make, unfortunately due to my lapse of judgement I haven't been backing up as often as I should, it was really not much I can do other than get my head down and redo the stuff I lost =)

Didn't think to backup before moving everything to a new case, just a bad lapse of judgement on my part. The silly thing is I had backup of all my TSW5 stuff but it was in the documents folder which windows lost.
