The Bluebell Railway The Bluebell Railway runs for 11 miles in East Sussex between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead with stops at Horsted Keynes and Kingscote. As a heritage railway, DTG would be able to intorduce realistic steam timetables without having to create a large roster of locomotives, this would give space to allow for a remodel of steam physics. Locos: LBSCR H2 Atlantic 32424 'Beachy Head' Recently reconstructed, 'Beachy Head' is one of the Bluebell Railway's flagship lcomotives. BR Standard 5MT No. 73082 ‘Camelot’ Based on Stannier's Black Five, the Standard 5s were built in the '50s by British Railways in order to haul medium goods and passenger services LBSCR Terrier No. 72 ‘Fenchurch’ The oldest operational lcoomotive on the line, 'Fenchurch' is a Stroudley terrier, the same class of locomotive as 'Stepney' the lines first engine. Layer Locomotives 09 Shunter Class 47 60103 Flying Scotsman Notes: 'Fenchurch' was included over 'Sir Archibald Sinclair' due to the significance of A1 Terriers on the Bluebell Railway Please do comment if there are any other locos in game that could be used as layers
Yeah, as a primarily a fan of Steam engines I think its disappointing that such a large part of railway history is being ignored. I feel like a heritage railway would be a perfect reset point for steam in TSW and the bluebell is a well known brand that would attract sales.
I'd love another Heritage railway in TSW and I doubt we'd be getting the GCR until its reunited. Also the steam era and preservation of steam is such a massive part of Railway history and such a big market that from a business perspective DTG can't ignore it
Most likely! But they did say expect the unexpected when announcing Dovetail Direct, so there’s always some hope!
That probably means steam gala with the 4 engines we already have lol But I'm only buying tsw6 if there's a steam locomotive or a UK route I'd like lol
The base game of TSW6 should be free at first so i would get that while it’s free. I am only going to buy the deluxe pack if the main UK route is one I really want and am excited by. Really hoping it’s gonna be the Exeter to Plymouth line but I am more than ready to be disappointed. The Christmas reveals campaign they did left me proper deflated.
Yh same tbh and if something boring and irrelevant like Northampton to Birmingham because we already have Birmingham and Northampton should've been in the WCML South instead of Milton Keynes
I doubt it would be that route. If it's not Exeter to Plymouth it will be a London to Essex route or they will do something with the ECML, perhaps Kings Cross to Peterborough or York/Doncaster to Newcastle. But I could be completely wrong on all of those guesses!
Back to the OP, Bluebell Railway actually a good shout for a heritage railway. Not too long that the inevitable elephant in the room (25 MPH top line speed) doesn’t get too tedious as tends to happen on WSR.
Steam doesn't need fixing!! Driving an engine is difficult, firing an engine is hard! Even TSC has a more simple steam driving system, and the ones that do take it "ultra realistic" (like the LNWR G2A add on) are insanely difficult. Steam is fine. The issue is more a lack of in-depth tutorials and route variations
In my opinion, i see nothing wrong with steam I'm just saying what I've read and seeing how other people see it So I should've put it in quotations I mean I see some flaws but I deal with them like the Jubilee without inside valve gear and the 4F Whistle being horizontal and not vertical but like I said I deal with them
There’s a pool of TSC devs making new steam traction to this very day. So frustrating to see all of the content coming out for that ancient game and yet we get nothing now. Dovetail Direct is 3 weeks today, would be unbelievable if they announce some new steam traction.
