Accross my plating experiences with Train Sim World 5 I am noting that with with the blurry texture and FPS issues are only occurring with German Routes only, I recently bought and installed tharandter rampe and noticed textures wend blurry on the BR 612 in certain sections. This also also occured using various triains on the Koln Aachen revamped timetable aswell, the most notable combined Blurry textures and FPS happens frequently with the Franfurt Fulda route. This issue is unaffected by the British and American routes. Am I alone in this or is this a widespread issue amongts other players thank you.
Do you have any creative club liveries in for any loco or units as that will be a factor in to blurry textures. If you what to get better FPS you need to go into the settings and remove loco subs and/or layers via that way, lays can be removed via the route in timetable mod aswell but may not help much as it's been said by Matt P. Optimisation is happening tsw5 isn't getting anymore from now tsw6 will have the next batch. Blurry texture are better then crashing.
I Agree however it even happens when layers are turned off. Like I said this only happens with the German Routes. Even equally demanding london commuter and London to Milton routes have no significant fps drop and virtually no Blurry textures.
It's not always down to layers in truth it's the scenery, tracks, signals, overhead power lines, NPCs, memory leaks, Weather the list can keep going. Frankfurt HBF is very big in size. Going to a old route Munich is the number of signals on not having more layers or the br 420 on it, it's not just down to Dovetail being lazy it's a lot of work and it's per route not just core game
I believe, I saw posts about blurry textures on UK routes too. It looks like, newer trains do trigger more blurry textures then old ones, like the Flixtrain and ICE-T on Koln - Aachen for example. Also on Thanther Rampe you can have newer trains as substitution, like the Vectrons. Maybe TOD4 lighting on those trains is causing this, since TOD4 performance is going backwards anyway.
