There are currently no Greater Anglia routes in train sim world 5 and none confirmed for train sim word 6, I personally think a route like this would be a good idea as it would not be linear or boring. There is a decently wide variety of services and this would add some new rolling stock. Such as the Flirt trains or class 90s and 156s. The route would be as follows, Lowestoft to Norwich and Ipswich | Norwich to Great Yarmouth and Ipswich. There would preferably be 745 AIs and 755 AIs to other destinations.
I don’t think you would get the main line and branch network in the same route. A better call might be to focus on the routes out of Norwich, ditch Ipswich to Lowestoft but include the Sheringham branch.
Nothing is confirmed for TSW6. There's only speculation. We don't know where the new UK routes will be. As OldVern says, you're not going to get London to Norwich including the East Suffolk Line and The Wherry Lines. Looking at past release sizes. London to Ipswich or The Wherry Lines to Norwich are realistic expectations, whether that's in TSW6 or in later releases, we just don't know. It's been mentioned many times but the reason there hasn't been an East Anglia release yet to quote Matt P from a couple of years ago in a Facebook post is "because we can't get a license for the operator there". That operator ceases to exist in mid-October when Great British Railways takes over the franchise. The timing is probably bad if you're hoping for a GA area release in 2025. As for the trains. If it's modern you've got a choice of 345s (west of Shenfield), 720s (south of Ipswich), 745s on Norwich to London services and 755s on rural and a couple of Norwich to London runs. If you want 90's and 156s you're looking at a pre-2020 route so you're unlikely to get Flirts. Plus, another issue with having a London to Norwich plus rural lines DLC is the shear number of new locos/units needed if it's not set since the fleet renewal. Your suggestion set in the last decade needs Classes 90 + DVT, 153, 156, 170, 315, 321, 360. Only two are in TSW already. I admire your ambition and if your suggestion became a release, it would be a first day purchase for me but you'd be looking at a £60+ DLC there. Sorry if I've rained on your parade but we need to ensure suggestions are realistic and that people's expectations are managed.
Ironically the best way to get East Anglia in game would be BR Classic. 90% of the stock needed already exists (31’s, 37’s, 47’s, Class 101 DMU plus Mark 2 non aircon stock, buy in Mark 2 aircons from JT). All you would really need is a Class 105 Cravens DMU to complement the 101’s on the Wherry Lines and some blue/grey Mark Ones for the summer Saturday Yarmouth through holiday trains and excursions.
