Steam Birmingham New Street Station Blue Seats

Whats with the blue seats at Birmingham New Street station first time ive walked the platforms any to find they change colour once you get close and they change back to this nasty blue colour again why dont you put things like this right in the first place. You want people to buy this new class 170 today plus half price midlands line and you got error in the dlc before some people end up buying you should hang your heads in shame what your doing to people making them little video like your game runs super good false pretenses once you have our money you dont give a dam

 

This issue has been present I think since the route released and DTG have never bothered to fix it. To be honest the fact that DTG have left this bug in the route for years and it seems like they have no intentions to fix it has put me off buying the 170 pack. It's a shame because I do think the new timetable looks really nice, but until DTG go back and start fixing old routes, I'll probably just let the BCC collect dust until issues like this get fixed.

 

Makes me feel the same way when i first moved over from classic to TSW 3 ive found error after error glad im not on my own with all theses bugs

 

Whingeing about blue seats - are you serious?

 

They should fix these glaring issues, obviously fixing every bug may not be feasible, but some bugs stand out much more than others and should be fixed.

 

It's perfectly okay if you don't mind playing the game with bugs like these present, but I think it's quite rude to insult people on a thread who are simply reporting a bug. Also, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I think bugs like these should be called out. Going into New Street with glowing pantographs and benches will ruin the immersion for some people, so it should be perfectly okay to call out an issue like this.

 

i am after paying full price for the dlc its like buying a new car and have it not work every thing theses bring out dont work right classic works better then this so god know how rubbish 6 will run

Small issues like this can happen through no fault of any one person. The issue we are looking at is related to "light baking", this is the act of lighting the entire route so it looks correct. This is a time-consuming task that needs to be done every time something is added, removed or moved in the game world. Unfortunately, it looks like the light baking for this area needs to be redone to account for these benches.
However, time spent on these needs to be planned and justified, which is why we prioritize all bug reports against what is going to be most impactful for players. As this issue is relatively obscure and has no impact on gameplay, it will unfortunately being lower down the list in terms of priority.
We understand this is important to you and other players like yourself. Therefore, your report has been logged and will be reviewed as part of our ongoing efforts to improve. While we won't be able to address every issue reported to us, we will prioritize those with the greatest impact on our community.

 

so if they mess up and they think its ok for the community they will leave it and not put it right instead of doing it right the first time this whole game should go back to early access until things are put right start with the game optimised right them a joke

 

It’s bizarre - I’ve had it too and don’t believe it was present from launch. DTG CMs have apparently put together some notes of requested fixes for devs which includes this, but as to whether/when it will be fixed we don’t know

I haven't played BCC in so long and probably won't until I get the 170 pack at a later date.
But I'd forgotten about the benches!

 

Should it not have been checked before putting out for sale Harry like all the DLC's you sell every time you buy one theres some thing wrong who check's theses before there put on sale as they need the sack. its like buying a dog when you buy your DLC's you end up barking yourself and not the dog

 

Some of the people on this stream obviously are not reading any of the DTG replies - for Gxxds sake get a grip - and please use punctuation.

 

It's not even the blue seats, there is a 2 foot gap in the brick support pillar that you can see through but walk around the other side and its OK.
This route had issues from release in most stations, never fixed.
And AI driving 323 with doors opening and closing while SPADing, also never fixed from TSW3.

 

Harry. the answer you gave is identical to mine, just you phrased it in a marketing way to make it appear more carrot dangling.

"looking at" something does not constitute an agreement to do anything.

 

What's the point of the "TSW Troubleshooting & Issues Discussion" section if not to report bugs? Plus when issues like this have been around for years and never fixed, it's going to annoy people, which is completely justified. Just because you don't mind bugs like these being present, it doesn't mean you should insult people for reporting these bugs.

 

Well after paying £24 for it you at dovetail should put it right as well as every thing else you bring out plus check things first then put them on sale not charge people top prices for half a job as soon ill stop buying your dlcs like many other people i speak to you will end up out of a job Remember customer is all ways right

 

For G..s sake, please use punctuation. And my long experience as a small business owner has taught me that 'the customer is always right' is a good way to lose money. DTG should instead maybe follow 'to make an error is expected - the difference for success is in the recovery from error'
