Steam Boston-worcester Csx Q436 Selkirk-framingham - Possible In Anything But Ac4400cw?

I keep trying to do this service on the GP38, C40-8W, or SD40 but no matter how carefully I set the train up, it won't budge unless I use the AC4400CW. Is there some step I am missing that's needed for this train but not the other freight trains I'm used to running on other routes with these locos substituted as the lead unit?

 

I was able to move the train with the C40-8W, but I had to use power level 4 and sand for help.
I also had problems with the SD 40-2, but after playing around with the direction reversing switch, I finally managed it. That is, I first switched to forward as usual, increased the power to level 4, then set the power to 0 and set the direction switch to reverse, set the power to 4, then back to 0 and back to forward, and set the power to 4. I did this several times, causing the train to rock. I always used sand. On the third attempt, the train started to move and was able to run.

I couldn't test it with the GP 38. I only have two tasks.

Ich konnte mit der C40-8W den Zug bewegen, musste aber auf der Energie Stufe 4 und mit Sand zur Hilfe nehmen.
Mit der SD 40-2 hatte ich auch Probleme, aber mit dem Richtungswender spielen, habe ich es doch noch geschafft. Das heisst, ich habe zuerst auf Vorwärts geschaltet wie normal, Leistung aufgeschaltet bis Stufe 4, danach Leistung auf 0 gestellt und Richtungsweder auf Rückwärts gestellt, Energie auf 4, danach wieder auf 0 und wieder auf vorwärts gestellt, Energie auf 4. Dies mehrmals, sodass der Zug ins schauckeln kam. Dabei immer mit Sand dabei. Beim 3. Anlauf begann der Zug zu bewegen und konnte fahren.

Bei der GP 38 konnte ich nicht testen. Bei mir gibt es nur 2 Aufgaben.

 

Huh, I hadn't thought of that rocking back and forth idea, not done something like that since racing supermarket trolleys with my friends when much smaller.
