so why make the tsw starter pack limited time thing. i think tsw5 starter pack lasted up to january. also tsw5 starter pack is still going on or that what xbox tsw says on my profile. anyway why not make it not limited thing it not hurting business cause at this point some people by tsw game when there sale.
there is no 'buying the game' when you get the "starter pack", because that is already the game itself. people only buy additional content; DLCs.
Slightly off topic but I need to say if, you really got me by having gamepass lol, I instantly saw yellow text and thought Xbox was finally getting a sale but sadly not
DTG said at the time that the starter pack was limited because they didn't know what the income impact of it would be. They would need to see how many existing players opted for the free pack and didn't bother with the base routes (effectively lost income), against how many new people came into the game for free and either went on to buy a base route pack and/or other DLC (new income).
Not necessarily. Some will buy regardless of quality, particularly if its something they like (looking at you Class 170). Others will only go on quality. What is a 'good route' is subjective (although some definitely are better than others no matter what).
Yup so is "quality" and "good value." All vague concepts and based on the individual perception. The only totally useful metric they have that is "definite" is sales figures. Which is what they base much of their decisions on.
Very subjective though. The routes, era and trains I would Day One purchase are likely to appeal to about 30 other users, not the 10k DTG need to break even or make a profit on the caper.
My bad! But yes you are correct. Routes that are accurate and well modelled rather than thrown together with tunnels which look like they were assembled in Minecraft (WCMLS refers).
Yeah, funny enough I actually build railways in minecraft and half time they come out better than WCMLS
