"Expect the Unexpected." Anybody wanna take a guess what it means? There's no wrong answers until Tuesday, then we find out who guessed right. Go....!
Italian route from the "one train, one route, only once" series? No thanks (and I'm from Turin). German trains and routes with layers are smarter choices.
The three things that would be totally unexpected are: Steam Freight A new country Outside chance: A fictional children's route.
Random Events in Timetable Mode, a new british Freight Loco and/or something with Railway 200 that is more than just a Livery.
Unstoppable collaboration/ the stanton curve etc would be great for freight and fun with unstoppable theme scenarios
Nothing, this is a banal marketing ploy, but I will be glad if they really introduce some interesting content)
I have concerns that a route with a steam locomotive will appear. An event in honor of the recent anniversary of the railways. My expectations are not related to the era of steam.
Random events such as delays and routing round issues as per reality. The one thing that isnt realistic is that on busier routes the trains go in the same platforms and never deviate, neither does AI traffic. It was mentioned on a survey thing and many have asked for it.
I think this is a good shout - "Expect the unexpected" not just in terms of what's announced, but as a reference to what could happen in-game.
Well I don't expect them to fix the passengers so maybe they will. It seems obvious to me that they are going to introduce random events which will turn out to be another gimmick like guard mode
expect the unexpected all old TODv3 routes being enhanced to TODv4 now that would be really unexpected
Just a wild guess. *shrug* doesn't mean there isn't 3 routes, but there could be a case where one (Most likely German or US) is replaced by another country. Spoiler I'm not counting the leaked TSW6 photo as one.
+1. The only thing I expect is that bugs will be carried forward, Dovetail gets a new $1 million tranche of revenue that is exempt from Unreal Engine's 5% licensing fee, and customers can stop holding off on DLC purchases out of concern they'll be part of some TSW 6 bundle.
Don't get your hopes up too high like alot of people did only for Thomas to be announced, or you are just going to be dissapointed. Funny how all their marketing team did was put out the phrase Expect the Unexpected and everyone goes crazy. Just like when they said there was a Grand Reveal in December and the same thing happened. I have a feeling these forums are going to go crazy in 3 days with angry people.
I can just imagine the advertising blurb.. Expect the unexpected! Now with train sim world 6 you may unexpectedly find routes you have previously enjoyed now become ruined at random by having blurry textures, passengers falling from the sky or walking off of the platform into the path of your high speed train! The only problem being these are already features of tsw5 so I don't think it's those.
I wouldn’t expect Caltrain to be carried forward. It could if DLC files were actually shared, but I don’t expect that either.
Whenever you take it on timetable mode on BCC, you somehow have to wait what feels like a decade for it to reach a decent speed, and this is only possible when you very gradually go up a power notch. I don’t find this with other routes.
They fix all of the bugs and add some form of multiplayer ? AND OR they add a Scenario with a run away train and your job is to connect to it and stop it before a certain point ? AND OR they connect all of the routes together so it is a real world ?
I'd give anything for it to be Steam returning and a cloud of smoke at the end of the countdown revealing an A4 or Bulleid Pacific barreling past but I just can't see it with all of the fanfare and just complete disregard for both SOS and PFR. But then is there a better chance for it with all of the railway 200 stuff?
Dan openly said "Imagine driving a steam loco uphill, playing this in the background"... Well, those words give us hope! At least one deluxe loco will be Rail 200 dedicated, Imo... Good old GWR engines, maybe?
I will instantly buy the deluxe edition if there is, as much as I don’t think the routes will be my cup of coffee
Classic FM broadcast tonight. Think it was an intentional hint thought! However, steepest gradients on GWR network are Devon based, so... Riviera, South Devon or so?
To be fair the GWR Pannier tank engine is pretty highly requested, and steam would be unexpected. Although having an 80x as the main train included in the route then a steam railtour loco as an add on would essentially be copying tsw4
