Yeah, one of those people keeps poking jabs about the US current political climate, and its getting kind of annoying.....
I wonder if New York in the metadata is an indicator for a potential Amtrak, Metro North, LIRR or NJT based route?
Some people on the TSC discord pointed toward the "Metro Rivals" trademark that DTG has. as MRNY could mean Metro Rivals New York.
I keep thinking about Liberty. I really hope that, if it is going to be the new Acela, they create a great new route for it, rather than releasing it as a separate DLC for the NYT and Boston Sprinter. In general, the version about the new Amtrak train can be truth. They have been actively testing it for several months(years?), so DTG could have a chance to get a ride on one of these test trains.
On the topic of the Amtrak Liberty, (if it is what Liberty is referring to), whilst I'm normally only really interested in UK stuff, I do think this train looks pretty cool
Yes, I believe it is set during the transition from FGW to GWR hence why the GWE remaster is getting un-branded FGW HST sets
800 vs 802 vs 805 and 801 vs 807 | RailUK Forums It'll be easier to link to the thread about it on RailUK. It'll be the most reliable source.
Also cause while the 166/165 and 43 was running on the mainline they never converted the interior/livery on all of them up until they left so you’d see a mix of GWR/FGW liveries and also units having a mix of the FGW and GWR livery.
Also the "Liberty" in image name can be referred to a statue. It can be just an image layer for the NY VR game poster. Which would be sad.
They just did an LIRR route, which while small, was still a big upgrade and I doubt they'll do another LIRR route anytime soon. If anything, it may be the New Haven Line, which would be really cool honestly.
Your right i just did it and it show that same image https://media-cdn.dovetailgames.com/2025/082025/08/TSW6.jpg
The timing couldn't be more perfect because in fact this train will be in service two days after the annoucement of TSW 6. Here it is https://media.amtrak.com/2025/08/am..., and Boston. Surely DTG here the plea for longer routes and to fix bugs such as the passengers on platforms, empty trains, full ECS movements and their teleporting into the sky? Whilst I sometimes wish I could do that at Euston at rush hour it’s a bit of an immersion killer.
Well if you could teleport there'd be no need to be at rush hour Euston in the first place because it'd be way easier to just teleport to wherever you're going
With regards to this, I’ve noticed one thing about these graphics. Whenever someone comes along and adds placeholders, two of them are already in game, while the third either isn’t and/or is added in the upcoming release of TSW. So looking at the fan-made TSW5 graphic, we already had the Azuma and ICE, but the Filxttain Vectron not so- but was added as a Loco Add-On in TSW5 anyway. If we follow this logic (which could be flawed), looking at the fan-made TSW6 card, we already have the ICE T and the Dutch train (forgot the name), but not the 802. So the latter could well be added as a separate Add-On or the route loco.
I'm glad as I have never liked any of the California routes in TSW as I've always found them extremely boring. My preference was always for the New York routes. It would be great to get some other states in TSW.
It's a shame BR didn't recognise the historical importance of the old Euston station when they redeveloped as part of the modernisation project in the 1960s. It was quite a charming station back then, but the concrete brutalist aesthetic it was transformed into had as much charm as a newly paved driveway. Anyway that's me ranting and raving... I know it's a very slim chance, but I really hope DTG see sense in further improving last years WCMLS.
The picture looks like the contents of the Extra locos i.e. like the splash screen if you had the deluxe version of tsw 5 you got a yellow/orange background with the Avanti 390, dB br 193 (flixtrain) and the cajon pass loco? But we have less than 24 hours until reveal
My tin-foil hat suspects they left Euston platforms devoid of passengers to relieve the consoles’ RAM, already struggling with the number of objects in the area. This is perhaps why it was never ‘fixed’. Pure speculation of course. PC users are, understandably, inconsolable.
I still think there’s a chance we’ll get a U.S route with the base game, if not a separate dlc further down the road. With the Tri-Rail license being secured by a “company” in another thread (I forget, sorry) I still hold out some hope.
Unfortunately I doubt that for insurance reasons any non employee would be allowed on one of these test runs as that is exaclty what they are"Tests". Let alone attach a bunch of microphones and equipment to it. Which means if something wrong there is potential for injury and the train itself wouldn't be fully safety complient until all the testing is done. They usually don't allow passengers on test flights. But I could be wrong.
I'm a hacker. I managed to break into the DTG servers and now I know everything about TSW 6. I'll post all the information here tonight at 8:00 PM.
Can’ t wait for this. Can reveal too that my secret friend hacked DTG’s servers and confirms that the TSW 6 deluxe edition will feature the Moscow to Ulan Batar route via the Trans-Siberian, complete with meandering branch lines and freight yards. Friend also confirmed the first post-update DLC will be an Amtrak superliner route with freight layers. It’s gonna be great!
A friend can see - will there be a northern (Yaroslavl - Perm - Tyumen) route at the beginning or a southern route through Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan? I'm just wondering whether to feed the bear today or the bear goes into hibernation early because I will spend all my money on this route if I go north.
If I can’t drive a trains from Perth to Sydney on the Indian Pacific, the Canadian between Vancouver and Toronto or the run from Moscow to Vladivostok and Beijing (and yes I do mean both the Trans Manchurian and Trans Mongolian branches) in TSW6 then I’ll be sticking with TSW5 thank you and it will be nothing less than a cash grab.
Wow, you mean you’ll accept anything less than 3 of the longest direct train services in the world as the core TSW6 routes? I think my sarcasm may have gone over your head by a country mile.
I mean, the sarcasm was pretty obvious, though I guess their text should of been italicized to make it more obvious.
Someone who is a well known member since 2021 suggesting routes across continents should of been a big clue.....
