Isn't all trains need Master Key in order for the whole train to work?

I don't under why won't they LIVE STREAM AND BE IN THE CHAT TOMORROW. I Don't think other games are like that when it come to announcing new game or item, they will live stream where people could talk them and ask them question. Do you Think Its because they want to avoid DISAPPOINTING US, and where we as the community are going to raise our pitch fork when they know that the announcement they give us is so not good, and really boring, and where it upset people because they let us down after hyping us up and then not keeping to their word or promise, cause that's what i feel like is happening. It just doesn't make sense at all. :|

I hope this will not be the case, and they will shock us the trains community in a good way that we don't see it coming.

The community has done all the hyping up themselves.

All they did was announce TSW6 was coming and if you didn't expect that then you must have been in a cave or something.

And they came out with a statement " Expect the Unexpected"

No teases, no previews, no hints at all.

Other than that the community has done its own speculation and hyping themselves up.

Just like Xmas when all they said was a Grand Reveal was coming at the end. No hints no little teases, the hype was all built up by the community itself.

So anyone who is dissapointed really can't say DTG hyped us up.

And I'm sure as usual there will be those who are. You won't please everyone its virtually impossible.

And what promises have they made, I haven't heard any?

Just to be clear. 16:30 UTC in 17:30 British Summer Time? I can never get the hang of clocks going backwards or forwards.

    It's pre-recorded that's why it isn't a live stream

Don't understand why it's not live surely they have enough time to put together a script, program of all the details from Thier new incarnation of the game, then they could do a question session at the end ,or would that steal thunder from it

Live or recorded, it matters not. Just wonder 1. How long the broadcast is and 2. The timeline at which the interesting bits will be announced. I doubt I will watch per se, more likely keep an eye on the forum as the pertinent bits emerge.

It's recorded. But I believe there will be DTG members present in the stream chat.

It's not exactly uncommon for these kind of things to be broadcasted "live" but actually be prerecorded. Nintendo's Direct presentations, (which I assume is where dtg copied the direct moniker from), is also like that.

Minimises the chance of accidentally screwing up in some way I suppose

    Hang on, 2 questions:
    1) Is there an article released ahead of the stream
    2) I had 3pm in my head for the stream?

I’m sorry, but no gwr cucumber, but after evaluating the picture it’s actually an 810 EMR, meaning that we will probably see the MML return

    1) We probably won't get an article until the roadmap (which was on the Thursday after the Direct last year)
    2) The countdown will actually start earlier (I'm not exactly sure when), and apparently there will be some clues.

Direct will start at 1330 on their YT channel, But the Dovetail Direct will kick off at 1730 (1630 UTC)

There may be an article / new website launch later today, I am not sure.

YT = YouTube, search on there for 'train sim world' to get their channel.

I kinda feel bad for the composers, with the only time anyone hears their work being on these streams.

Yes, of course there's a place for music, just not in a train sim. If it's good, it should be available everywhere.

It's already been said in another thread that doesn't necessarily mean anything, all those services currently exist on the route

The 150 and 153 operate those services, the layer selector simply allows you to turn them off. It isn't a leak.

They've done a shockingly good job with leaks this year. This Cardiff thing (which is not a leak at all, but i guess COULD be a clue for TSW6 content if they were "future-proofing" it), and one piece of art with the 802, and that's pretty much it.

Happy for the team they get to have their big reveal- hope it's a good one!

And even that isn't really that huge considering most people were speculating a modern day GWR route anyway since they said they got the GWR licence back

So with the 150 being in the Riviera route. Does this mean the tfw 150 will have updated sounds? DTG Jamie DTG Alex DTG Matt ?

I thought they were supposed to be talking about other things than TSW6 in the Dovetail Direct.

I'm honestly surprised that there's still no support for DLSS or Frame Generation and overall no meaningful graphics improvements. It's disappointing, especially considering how long these features have been requested.

The addition of faults and error's is welcome, but let's be real, that's something that should've been in place years ago. Meanwhile, console players have been dealing with long-standing issues and PC users aren't exactly getting a smooth experience either.

Considering the price you're asking, it's hard to justify when fundamental improvements are missing. It's time we saw real technical progress, not just minor tweaks. :(

Unless I'm mistaken, when DTG Direct was announced, did they not say they would also be announcing other Non-TSW related things?

Dont understand going from Birmingham to Crewe when you can go from mkc to bhm and complete at least that route. German routes get extensions so why not?

Also lack of a 730 is highly disappointing. Other than that, I guess... fine. Voyager finally.

Big question is will the older routes be getting upgraded so they have random events and station / train announcements?

Will there be no UK Region Edition to purchase for TSW 6 like there was for TSW 5? If not, does that mean I'll have to purchase the Standard Edition, even through I'm not particularly interested in the US and German content?

It has been a regular and popular edition in previous iterations so I can say it is most likely. This is my personal preference also.

When I've been reading through the FAQ page, there doesn't seem to be any mention of the UK Region Edition this time around, so fingers crossed!

I've come to know what to expect with these releases: a decent bundle and a patch for about £60. On that bases, it's fine.

    Pleasing:

Riviera Line (the line I grew up on)
    Voyager
    Leipzig extension

    Disappointing:
Would have hoped for a better and/or other new train for Dresden-Leipzig. IC2 felt like an open goal here
The Netherlands and Austria seemingly abandoned (let along France, Switzerland...)

    Exciting:
Czechia is good, although I might have chosen a different route
The Crewe routes and Stuttgart-Heilbronn will be fun.

    Hopeful for:
Full timetable release for consoles on the Frankfurt S-Bahn route

They usually don't tell us until the content is released. It would be nice to know if players on console should get excited about routes now if we aren't going to get the full experience.

"The Class 158 services using Midland Main Line route Add-on can be seen at Exeter St Davids, running out of the map up the steep section of line to Exeter Central, representing Exeter – London Waterloo trains."

Love this. Layers for that route looks good in general :)
