NS (nederlandse Spoorwegen/Dutch railways) decals, since we have them licenses now and finally a dutch route
Hey as always I’m up for more Brand Logos, means I’m safe Yet if I was to have a brand of my own I wouldn’t be handing it out like there’s no tomorrow. The main reason would be the possibility of miss-use. For I am aware many ages use TSW, meaning many understand about what can be done along side a Logo Brand where others may not. Thus a Logo or Brand being abused if done in a offensive manner towards a Brands reputation. DTG could probably place these in but are the Logo and Brand owners want to take that risk. A risk that someone could take a picture of a livery using ScotRail as example with something rude next to it, bang it up on YT or Meta. I wouldn’t want to wake up and see that as the CEO of a company. By having some complex Logos in the game would make it too easy for it to be wrongly used. But if a user has to make a Logo and can’t then those that can’t are probably the ones that may bring harm to a Logo, be willingly or unwillingly knowing. I could be wrong but as I say if I owned a business then that would be my main (Edit) concern. Damage to a Brands Reputation.
If some took a picture of a logo and said rude thing about it as what you said, um it would get reported and removed and whoever put rude things about the logo would actually get into serious trouble. nvm about that but someone just taking a picture of a company logo and saying rude words about it is kinda unlikely.
I would also love to see some realistic dirt & scratch decals like these Also hope it could come with the window Decals feature in livery designer.
Or graffiti arts like this Again would love for it to come with window Decals that could be a feature in livery designer
Yes reported if it was seen fast enough. Not all sites act fast or have safety measures in place. It only takes one to slip past the net and it’s too late then, even if it’s reported. So that’s that one. Secondly and this is not the first time I seen users asking for something DTG has had up for grabs for years via Mastery Rewards. Take this as an example. Made using decal your asking for. DTG has provided them, which brings me on to why give them to you for free when users have paid for the DLC and worked hard to acquire them. It’s not as easy as just asking for a decal
Know mate we could with some of that, we need something cool and more culturally diverse. But again train firms spend thousands on keeping fleets clean of vandalism. So why have decals such as branding and then have decals like graffiti together. Remember Brand Damage. Graffiti is art but it’s also vandalism if dome on public property such a logos or EMU units. It still looks bad for a Corporate identity what ever the case.
This would look cool like all the ones you have shared. They would definitely look realistic for US fright stock. So I may not use but would definitely come in hand for those user in that area of creativity.
Again we have most of these, even tho you may not believe we do. You see this is LE, it’s for people that love to edit. That means being creative (Hence Creative Club) not sticker club. I agree especially on letter fonts I am with you on those a hundred percent, and some of the others. All what we do is for Creator’s Club and It’s up to the user to be creative, being creative doesn’t always mean making a livery. I believe it’s about making use of what DTG have provided already be that its core content or added decals by way of the Mastery Rewards. It’s all there for longevity of user engagement due to the tasks involved to gain the rewards. And the end rewards the self gratification that we achieved something so realistic. A Goal of mine. Yes it would be easer to have these decals or stickers as I call them. Because that’s what you would be doing, taking a decal bang it in and that’s that. No work or thought process, no challenge in that. A sticker book not a livery editor designed to push the users skill and creativity abilities. Again why it’s called Creators Club not Sticker Club
Hey don’t think I’m being funny or off towards you. They are just my personal opinions at the end of the day. As I say I do agree with what you have been sharing, but like anything others can or may see the potential down sides. Don’t get me wrong I too would love many of what you have posted, but would it make LE to easy, to accessible for miss us. Or like previously mentioned in a separate comment that being up setting some members that worked hard for decals on MR while others get the same or something similar for free. Therefore if we do eventually see some of the decals you have shared then it they was to be added it would probably be added via a DLC as this has been the case with all my extra decals. Why I shown you some decals I had and the work that can be accomplished with them and those in the core game. It can be done if you have the DLC packs to get the decals your kinda looking for now. Money tho, money many don’t have so just want you too know I’m not being a hard bum. I’m skint too. And sadly that would be the case you or I got our wishes granted. If some one wants something then they will know people will most willing pay for it. They call them pay walls ✌
There are crack decals available and some like run lines and scuff marks. I mix these along with the faded half circle to create the weathering effects. If your not aware of what’s available on Mastery Rewards then I have a lot unlocked so I can show you what the decals are if you like?.
we really need high detail ADR signs and i would really like to see the VTG logo in white as it is available in blue. also a blank brake weight diagram for european locomotives would be very useful.
Well what ever the case I guess will have to wait and see. I hope they do as it will save time if anything else. Because I do like doing weathering work. ✌
So complex looking at some of those markings. These are needed for those that work on European liveries. It’s a must for all the European content available by DTG and people doing European liveries. ✌
Paint different sides instead of the whole carriage—would make painting much easier. Or, you could maybe add templates, i.e. a weathered template.
A plain version of the wheelchair accessible symbol would be nice, as not all liveries use the blue box version. There's also a movement to change the symbol from 'still' one to one in motion. The Accessible Icon Project https://accessibleicon.org/#use Unfortunately, my own livery designer has neither of the accessible symbols, so have spend ages creating it from scratch, everytime!
Hello! My suggestions for the decals would be.... Fonts: - Atkinson Hyperlegible - Raleway - Century Gothic Decals: - Existing accessibility decals with transparency backgrounds - Existing shapes but inverted - Wheelchair accessible symbol in motion - Disability Pride Flag - Autism gold infinity symbol - ADHD butterfly infinity symbol Sources: Disability Pride Flag https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disability_flag The Accessible Icon Project https://share.google/oiQnj7HgbvdIcwCTf About the Butterfly – ADHD Grrl https://share.google/oNPeV5605OMVHLxck
Hey I’ve just read the link you sent and I wasn’t aware of this project. I’m all for change when needed especially when it comes to signs as they can stand for something and that’s it. A label where some don’t want to be labelled or identified as a mark or symbol in the way it’s been represented or governed. (US State laws) For the actual Decals I have then you too can get them if you pass tier one on the Bakerloo line DLC. The tasks are complete either 3 scenarios or routes, with the second task is to drive 5 miles. Be handy to get, save you time and more importantly decals Can I just ask is the sign or design of importance or one of interest to you. As I pay attention to how liveries or designs can build in more disability friendly features. To build it all in together and not add signs etc as a must not a part of the overall design from the go. ✌
I’ve been delayed but I’ve been trying to work on this for kids with Autism. So I fully support you with this. (Something close to home). I wonder if DTG could get access to these logos. Have you tried reaching out to DTG?. ✌
You can do both sides. And there is a large amount of decals and ways to create a weathered look. Two examples of this. Flip paint Job. This has been created using layers or decals from Mastery Rewards. So DTG do have them available but you must own the DLC first to gain them. I would even buy a certain DLC with those decals I wanted. So hopefully you are aware there is a number of different weathered layers available, only if you own the necessary DLC tho. ✌
It's a good project & good to keep accessibility symbols up-to-date. Some are old & even some times degrading to people. (UK & Irish laws for us!) Ahh, I don't have Bakerloo on my PC, just on playstation - which i barely use now. That'll be why i don't have it. Thanks! Two reasons: 1 - I really like accessibility & think that the world should be more accessible for everyone, from seen disabilities to the hidden disabilities. I try to make my fictitious designs as accessible as possible going by the knowledge that I've learnt over the years, either from lived experience, other people's knowledge & experiences or from real world accessibility projects I've worked on. 2 - I really like realistic details. If I'm designing a livery based off a real world livery, it tends to be modern & would have such accessibility symbols.
It's close to home for me aswell. Love the livery, appreciate the use of the infinity symbol!! The only thing i'd say is change the blue, or create variations which have different colours (red, pink, gold, etc). (There's a harmful stereotype that Autism is blue as only boys can be Autistic - which is false, as Autism is a spectrum which doesn't matter the gender, nor age). I've not, but I'm sure someone from DTG might see the suggestion, maybe. Keep me updated with your Autistic Pride livery please
If we are talking about fonts, Gill Sans could be a good one. Helps those who want to make the Gill Sans Lettering Locomotives.
Hey there, please accept (Edit) my apology in not responding sooner. Why I’ve not seen it I don’t know. Reading over what you say I feel we share a common interest in how design and function work hand in hand. I’m not professional educated on many of these subjects yet will go out my way to learn. Ie Network rails inclusive plan for one. I personally feel that how a livery looks is more about customer experience for all. Even how real world design concepts take many variables into consideration when it comes to disabled access. Building and access ramps. If all this is taken in to account then the environment created will be clean fresh and not a jumble of mixed access points or poor signage. I witnessed many difficulties people face on a day to day basis. From my personal perspective at times it feels their concerns are taken as an afterthought in how any fix is done. Be a rushed sign or even private or public space. These situations can be very stressful even embarrassing. Or offensive as you say. I think the only way for this to happen would be things being done by those that don’t fully comprehend what it’s like for many commuters everyday lives. The remedy would be construction firms and design houses to work more closely with many projects or communities set up to help improve sign’s and access points for wheelchair users. I feel cost is one major factor tho as to why I feel there is no major overhaul of what’s been mentioned. Based of the back on how you feel and go about working on liveries I’d love to create something with you. If you’re interested then you’re more than welcome to DM here and so give you my permission per site rules. I’d like to either create something with your input on the knowledge and experience you have with this topic. Or be a little bolder and work on a little project using both our skills and knowledge in order to create something that means or says something meaningful. Anyone that has experience with me knows that making our world, the environment we share and live is very important to me. I’m told by small acts of good can we achieve that. Or the old cliche, together we can make a change Rigsby. ✌
Hello again. If we speak privately I can let you know the score so to speak. But again what you say goes to show that there is a misconception about autism or the autistic spectrum. And what you say is new to me even. So it’s clear for me then, what would you do differently and what would be the most appropriate or accurate course of action?. For right now it’s still remains as you first seen it, therefore I can make any changes when I have free time. Busy on a few things right now. This for one, and a little secret When all is finished with this little R200 project I’ll will work and give you an update on the autism livery. And for the decals I will mention this and what many others have mentioned here. Cost will be the root cause or licensing issues for users having free access to logos or a brand. The risk of inappropriate use. But I will speak to them as I have this issue with the ECML Diesel express add on or 47 484 ‘IKB’. NO WHEELS in LD. Yet is fine in original 47 484 livery. You can’t make anything out much in this picture yet the model has white wall wheels/tyres. So again I will mention the decals after the issue with this model has been resolved. I feel this game needs more fun or added decal content. I’ll see what they say tho. Take care for now. Rigsby. ✌
Yes,,,,,, And Yes!. I’ve lost count at how many times I’ve had to recreate the BR crest. Two options. A, DTG give us access to the logo/s in question and/or,,,B. Give users a save decal or group function. I feel this would be a benefit to DTG and how the system deals with a large amount of decals used. 350 decals used yet could be just the one. Would adding decals reduce the lag or small frame freezes when loading CC work in game. (Ie on track or as Ai). So it’s definitely a yes from me ✌
