This one is exciting! It’s a shame nothing CP, but it’ll be a beautiful departure out of Lisbon. I wonder if this was the first choice of the developer, or whether they struggled acquiring a CP license, so settled with Fertagus? What are your thoughts?

A Portuguese route is definitely a surprise, but a nice one at that, so I'm excited for this overall.

I turned off the stream before this was announced but will be keeping an eye on it. Let's just hope it doesn't turn into another endless wait like Tadami.

VirtuaVia360 website shows screenshots from what could be the route in TSW, but I'm not sure.

Most likely. They are only a team of 2 people so i don't expect to be released with TSW6.

I like these kind of surprises the most!

    Oh...and a new double-decker EMU, Fertagus 3500 series:

Worth reiterating my comment from the thread on the other new country coming to TSW:
Tadami Line will give us an indication as to whether the rather endless wait for these types of projects is worth it.

I don't know what to expect but this could potentially be epic. I'd love a change of scenery and Portugal could certainly offer something different from the usual stuff. I'm keeping an eye out for this route. :)

LOVE. I looked at the catenary and was like "Yes. It's Portugal"

(why does it say "LOVE!"? is it anti swear?)

To be fair, we won't know how far along in the development the route is. DTG could have announced in early on and it will be another 1-2 years before we see it finished, or they could already be in the final stretch and it's 3-6 months. We just don't know. Tadami is a massively ambitious route that was always going to take a lot of time and it was presumably announced still fairly early in development.

If you look at their LinkedIn, the number of employees is 11-50.

They updated it then. Yesterday their LinkedIn page only stated 2 employees. That's good.

    Your pfp says everything :D

This route is great and TSW players are slowly realizing it.
    1. The 25th of April Bridge crossing.
    2. Between Almada and Fogueteiro it's an elevated railway.
    3. Near Coina it becomes single-track for a while. Very interesting for a commuter route.
    4. New safety systems, double decker train.
    5. NOT a single-lever train even though it's commuter.

I don't quite know what to expect. I couldn't find any cabview videos on YouTube. Anyone has any video/pictures to share to give an impression what the route will be like?

I've come across a couple of videos on YouTube at and
It should give you a good idea of the bridge crossing. Although, in real life, the view is incredible!

If I come across a good vlog for the rest of the route I'll share with you too.

That 2 and 3rd point are not accurate. Beteween Pragal and Corroios there is a bridge yes.

There is not a single stretch of this route that has a single-track moment.

its not a shame that its not CP. literally the 3500 is the best regional train in Portugal and perfect for tsw. Im really really excited, because this route is really really beautiful. and in the future with this train they can build alcatara terra - castanheira do ribatejo (50min ride) or continue to Azambuja and terminal is from Azambuja Lisboa Santa apologia (which is one station after braco de prata, where the two lines split). and the alacantare terra 3500 urbano train also has stops with fertagus, from Roma areeiro to campolide (3 stops). so basically you can download the livery as my profile picture and ride as CP train the 4 stations. and because its a Portuguese team, I highly think they will continue to build and can use the 3500 in the routes mentioned and than add the other train (don't know the name, a Siemens train, the best builder worldwide from Germany) which goes from Alverca to sintra (or from Lisboa Oriente to mira-sintra melecas) which would be drivable to campolide or Sete rios, which is about 35min.

wouldnt say that because what the developer shared looks not bad for now and the tools, especially AI, are getting better very fast and the graphics from the screenshots are pretty good. so I wouldn't think that it takes 2 years and I would recommend to not share these dramatic speculations

Does anyone know where the route ends on the Lisboa side?
The infographics said the route has 54 kilometers, but Linha do Sul from Setúbal to Campolide station has ~49 km?

it will almost definitely end at Roma-Areeiro, because that’s where the Setúbal services end on the Lisbon side

That is true actually, that would be nice if the route included the Azambuja services from Campolide to Roma-Areeiro, even if it is in the Fertagus livery, just for that bit of variety of service. Even better if they include the Station at Alcantara-terra!

I know absolutely nothing about Portuguese railways (but I have already driven a lot in TS on Japanese and Czech railways), I hope we will get a new experience with this route)

I wasn’t expecting to see Portugal added, it was a surprise at the DTG Live and it’s a nice addition for TSW.

I’m curious to see more about that upcoming route, I’m “kinda familiar” with the 3500 series as I ride regularly the Z20500/20900, it’ll be nice to see its Portuguese version.

sorry but the Cp3500 is completely different (one of very few good Alstom trains) and you can't be familiar with them by riding the others

Read again… I put quotation marks for a reason, it’s literally based on the Z2N family, late series Z20500/20900. Like the Spaniard version the RENFE S-450.
