It’s great that you’ve shown all the promotion to the new content for TSW6, yet I’ve seen NOTHING acknowledging the performance issues being fixed that have plagued my Xbox Series X for the past year, I still suffer memory crashes and blurry textures on Frankfurt - Fulda and also Köln - Aachen for that matter. If someone uses the excuse “just turn off some timetable layers” then let me say this; if the route has all layers available to that platform then the route should be fully playable with no issues. I’m also intrigued on how you’ve said that Leipzig - Dresden will include all services on Series X, so does that include ALL layers? Or are you just going to pull a Frankfurt S-Bahn on us and cut the majority of layers from us? So to put it simply, NO I will not pre-order TSW6 or spend another penny (& I’ve spent hundreds of pounds as it is) on DLC until I get an acknowledgement that the performance issues for Xbox Series X will be fixed.
Likewise! I posted my thoughts in another thread: Whilst it's nice that they can promise to further optimise, I'd have hoped before announcing another version they'd fix the problems they'd introduced with this version. I'll wait to see if there are actually any improvements before i buy anything new.
Am the same. I aint even going to bother with any dlc till i actually see it has been improved and better sound quality, and we get the full timetables.
The Dovetail Direct mentioned these issues. Whether they're sorted or not at any point is another matter.
The promise that they will further optimize the game is no longer enough for me. I don't want to spend another year looking at blurry textures, turning off layers, and waiting another year for a fix.
I saw this response to another post yesterday and if this is really how they’re going to do it then that’s just really lazy and a pathetic excuse. So unless they’ve tested Leipzig - Dresden with all layers on Xbox Series X already, its highly likely that the memory issues and blurry textures could still be in the game and they can’t be bothered to fix their own problem properly. Chances are it’ll probably be TSW7, 8, 9 or 10 before they actually fix the game for consoles.
First time there is totally no excitement on my side about a new upgrade to TSW because it just looks like new features added to a not-optimized game. Optimization was my only request for TSW6, and it's not present, so no buy for me.
Blurry Textures could be resolved (PC only I fear) by adding "r.MaxAnisotropy=8" or even "r.MaxAnisotropy=16" to Engine.ini under [SystemSettings]. If there is no [SystemSettings] just add it to the end of file that it looks like this: ... Paths=../../../TS2Prototype/Plugins/DLC/TTC_20t_BrakeVan/Content Paths=../../../TS2Prototype/Plugins/DLC/TTC_MK1/Content Paths=../../../TS2Prototype/Plugins/DLC/EuropeanContentPack/Content Paths=../../../TS2Prototype/Plugins/DLC/NL_Content_Pack/Content [SystemSettings] r.MaxAnisotropy=8 If there is a possibility to access the file on console you can try it too. But I don't have a console so I don't know. On Windows (or Linux using Wine) Engine.ini is located in Documents/My Games/TrainSimWorld5/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor or on EGS under Documents/My Games/TrainSimWorld5EGS/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor Performance issues could be resolved by deinstalling the game and play Transport Fever 2.
PlayStation 5 performance is terrible as well. Not touched the game last couple of months. Older routes not to bad I can live with it but the newer routes are just not nice to play. Loads of stuttering in places. Trains stutter as they go by no optimization from DTG. And now Tsw6 well no thank you it's just the same game with the same piss poor performance.
The Dresden Riesa map is already practically unplayable on PS5, without the textures getting blurry...... especially in the Dresden-Neustadt station, which is quite annoying after a few km from Dresden Hbf..... the only thing that could change the behavior is that within Dresden-Leipzig most of the rolling stock will be part of the basic DLC, that's perhaps the only possible hope that it will run better, but I'm not very optimistic in this direction...... But changing the settings so that DLC layers are deactivated by default points to a Solomonic solution and it can be interpreted that they actually washed their hands of it.
