As you guys know, there is no Comet IV or Comet V cars in Train Sim World at all. I decided to use the Formation Designer and connected the BTC and CTC cars together with the ALP-46, I got the BTC & CTC cars repainted into NJT liveries from others on the Livery Designer. I have an issue, since the CTC car is a diesel set cabcar, is there a way to be able to connect the CTC to a Electric Loco? I was able to successfully get the Brakes to work, handling from the CTC to the ALP-46, the ALP works no problem, I've driven it while carrying a bunch of BTC and CTC carriages, however, anytime I sit inside the CTC Cabcar, it the throttle system does not work. I of course follow these steps to set up the train correctly ALP-46 - Handle Off Braking - Brake Set -> Brake Cut-Out - Reverser -> Out/Isolated - Throttle/Brake -> Neutral - Pantograph set to Front CTC - Reverse Neutural - Cut in Brakes - Reverse Forward - Braking Set to Release - Braking works, if you add/release brake in the CTC Cabcar, it will show the Pressure inside the ALP-46 as well, braking works perfectly. - Throttle Set Forward However for some reason, the Throttle does not work at all, and yes, the MCB IS CLOSED, and the Pantograph does say it is operative. If anyone could see and help out connect a Electric Loco to a Diesel Set Cabcar let me know! Thank you
I'm glad I found your post. I have run across the same problem with the CTC-3, and CTC-5. It seems the ALP-46 will only work with its Multilevel Cab car. The same problem persists if you use the Multilevel Cab Car with the Amtrak ACS-64. If I was to guess, the script/coding only allows for NJT equipment to work together. I'm *hoping* with TSW6 around the corner and the ALP45DP on the horizon this issue is corrected. With that said, the ACS-64 works with any other cab-car, save for the NJT Multilevel.
