Actually I empathize with that. Although I know approximately where the routes are located, a map or two would have helped.

I've ridden the Morristown years ago, I looked up the Devon route on an old UK road map and I know Dresden and Leipzig are in what used to be the DDR. Tadami, Czechia and the Portuguese route have no idea.

Guess we'll have to drag out the old World Atlas .

 

I am definitely getting the deluxe... routes could be better but overall ok... I am just wondering, will Dresden - Leipzig succeed the original Dresden - Riesa route? I mean, I am loving the fact we will get to drive the whole thing now... as for other content, loving the fact Czech Republic is coming to TSW, although I am not a big fan of those old diesel thingies (I vastly prefer modern Skoda EMUs and such), but at least I will get to finally learn Czech/Slovak signalling and safety stuff - anyway, this is promising we might get to see even some Slovak content in the future, hopefully electric

as for other announced routes and locos... willl get the expert one for sure for the hell of it, the Portuguese, will see... Stuttgart will get definitely, even tho I prefer more modern rolling stock...

I am also liking the fact it comes out at the end of September, which means my wallet can get wasted on some books and such in the meantime

 

If I recall correctly, there were no plans to bring TSW5 to gamepass immediately from launch either, but it made its way on there.

Yes, Train Sim World 6 will have a new set of achievements to earn. However, add-ons will not support achievements moving forward.

The fact DTG aren't adding TSW6 to Xbox Gamepass is really disappointing for Xbox players, we never get any sales then TSW6 is not coming to game pass, I know I wont be buying anything TSW6 unless it has a very high discount. However I would like to know why this decision has been made to screw over Xbox players? Is it to make more money off of people buying the core routes? It's a shame because from the screenshots the Riviera line looks quite nice.

 

I noticed something interesting in the FAQ, and I normally use the keyboard in TSW5 on PS5 these days, and some functions are easier to control, such as switching views, the American bell, etc.

No, the console experience has been optimised for a controller. We have no plans to add support for keyboard and mouse currently.

To answer your question is the one that most people here in Train sim community us side have been asking for which is the MNRR New Haven Line- also known as the Stamford Connecticut Line featuring the used of Kawasaki M8 Trainset.

 

if your talking about random event i believe there is an option to turn it off on on, according to your preference.

 

Wait so that mean we will see an Metro North M8 along with an Amtrak train running on the same line at the same time? Does that mean we have two route on one route? Cause if this is the case this is BIG, which is the first time American route have two different train running on one route. Its about time already.

They have Got to REDO Grand Central Terminal and Bring it UPTO Date because it does not look anything like Grand Central Terminal when they do the Stamford Connecticut Line.

Aparrently not the announcements or train faults though. Real shame that most of the content of old is going to just be ignored especially the newer routes like WCML and Suffragette etc - ones that are essentially the easiest to pull announcements for as they're all public basically apart from LNWR which isn't licensed anyway.


I suppose once again it will fall to modders to somehow make this happen for older routes if they can.

 

With the addition of the 1442 as a layer on Leipzig, maybe it is time to finally fix that one, and the traction problems when working two coupled sets. Hopefully they also fix the broken scenario on RT.

 

I just spoke to my brother who is a train driver on WCML and he asked how you find out about random events. I think it's just a pop up in game by the sounds of things with other pop ups to help you respond.

Be good if the pop ups you get align with your settings about notifications and in game help so you can try and work it out for yourself rarher than being told the fix. My brother had to fix a fault by resetting a whole heap of stuff the other day as quick as he could so he didn't run late.

Also, I wonder if you could play by starting in the Booking On office and have to sign in be given your list of trains to drive, any info on speed restrictions and then make your way to your first train. Like a mini-career mode. Then complete your shift and get a score depending on how you perform including responding to random events.

Im wondering if Talent 2 and other Liepzig-Dresden re-used rolling stock get’s a suspension upgrade.

 

My thing is with the Morristown line is that we shouldve got the comets instead of multilevels and theres no empire state building and chrysler building in the skyline which you can see from Hoboken and from the mountain along the Morristown line

I have a bad feeling that this won't be the case as we did not see these trains at all in the video despite they are running up to Oschatz, the worst case would be if they use the red 442 for these stops. I also do not know why they did not include the tunnel part, it is best and most interesting thing in Leipzig.

The 1442 needs a general update, it is just really awful and outdated, the additional PIS screens do not work at all and they still only show the destination and not the time, next stop, etc. we have seen on other trains.

 

Gotta say, while I'm pleased to see the Riviera Line, Morristown Line and a new Czech and Portugese route announced, I was kinda hoping we'd see another Dutch route. It's a bummer not to see more Dutch content announced. Zwolle-Groningen seemed to be doing well in sales and reviews.

 

As interesting as the new announced content sounds, it somehow saddens to see, that those who supported TSW back in 2021 in purchasing "Train Sim World 2: Rush Hour" don't seem to get any rewards. It doesn't feel like a reward to have to pay a second time for the Riesa to Dresden portion, sans Friedrichsfeld. But, so be it, than it'll be the core update and the remainder will be purchased only during a sales later on, if at all.

What did catch interest is the Czech route and Stuttgart. Will wait and see, if the content for Stuttgart will be more accurate, compared with the Avmz207.

On the other hand the announcements sound like an interesting feature. Hope for Nuremberg to find its way into TSW, preferably in the 1980s or 1990s, pre 1994.

Same here. When it was said that there would be 3 new countries in TSW6, I hoped Belgium would be one of them. Wasn't to be. I was not really expecting it. What I was expecting was an announcement of a second Dutch route. So that was a big dissapointment. I hope we will not have to wait untill TSW7 before we get a new Dutch route.

 

Well, most add-ons announced on the roadmap are third party ones, with not a lot of DTGs own content announced. They gotta be working on more, so who knows...

Still, a Japanese, Czech and Portugese route is pretty awesome too. Although we've known for the Japanese route for a while.

 

I'm afraid, as it has been the case so far, that if a station from the previous map is "taken over", like NY Penn here, it will suffer from the same errors. What fundamentally bothers me about NY Penn is the collision of some platforms with trains, the traffic profile is simply not maintained there and the trains are submerged into the edge of the platform. I think we saw it yesterday in some footage from NY Penn. And another thing, freight traffic was planned for NY - Trenton, then it was eventually banned, allegedly for performance reasons ...... I assume that there will be no traffic anywhere on the Morristown line either? At least the additional layers in the basic description of the individual maps don't say that.

 

As for the newly announced map from the Czech Republic, first of all, the studio that is supposed to create it was founded four months ago, what I was looking for, probably specifically for this project, I don't know, I think ....... but the question will be how it will be done in terms of the landscape and especially what the rolling stock will be in general, I don't mean the 843 series motor car and the 750 series locomotive. In the real world, there is a 943 series driver car for the motor car and a 043 series car has been added. Another question will be the freight cars, will suitable cars from those currently available be used? For example, there is already a container car with Czech registration in TSW. Well, it will be highly anticipated, so hopefully the guys from Vector Simulation will deal with it .

Why do I think like this, I think the Dutch map is a bit diet in terms of traffic and vehicles

I wonder if the lighting will still be overexposed and washed out?
If it is then sadly it's just the free starter pack for me.
