AABS: "All Aboard for something special. Our first official release for Train Sim World takes you straight into the modern main line action of the West Midlands and North West with WCML Birmingham to Crewe – a fast paced, electrified corridor packed with energy, contrast and realism." "This is the West Coast Main Line as it operates in the 21st Century. Your journey begins at Birmingham New Street, Britain’s busiest station outside London. From the deep platforms beneath the city, just two electrified lines carry you north, climbing out into the open air and into the heart of the Black Country." "What follows is a powerful sequence of locations that define the region’s railway identity. As you pass through Smethwick, Dudley and Oldbury, the industrial heartbeat of the Black Country pulses around you. Then comes Wolverhampton. You rise above the city, sweeping across rooftops and see the iconic football ground in the distance before arriving at the high level platforms of this key interchange. Here, lines from Shrewsbury, Stafford, Bescot and Birmingham all converge, making Wolverhampton one of the most operationally significant points on the route." "North of Wolverhampton, the scene transforms. The city noise fades, and you enter the broad rural landscape of Staffordshire. The run into Stafford brings open track, steady gradients and clear skies. It is here you join the core of the West Coast Main Line. Every detail has been built to reflect the current-day infrastructure." "Your final approach into Crewe is a railway experience in itself. Long known as a major hub in the national network, Crewe features wide sweeping platforms, complex track layouts and operational detail at every turn. It is a fitting end point for a route defined by pace, presence and purpose." The Class 350 Desiro is your main traction for the journey. This familiar and trusted unit appears here in all three subclasses – 350/1, 350/2 and 350/3 – each delivered with its own distinct livery, just as they would have been seen in 2019. From interior layouts to visual features and branding, every variation has been recreated for full immersion." "Adding an extra layer of personality to the route is 350235, wearing its unique British Transport Police livery. You will see this eye catching unit throughout your drives, appearing across the timetable as it follows its real world diagram. There are more than 350 playable services waiting in timetable mode. With a full weekday of operations represented, you will take on everything from first light commuter runs to mid afternoon stoppers and evening express services. Whether running non stop from Wolverhampton to Crewe or stopping at every station from Birmingham northwards, every journey offers something different." "The route is filled with detail. From football stadiums at Wolverhampton and Crewe, to hand placed industrial and residential scenery in Soho, Oldbury and Stafford, this is a railway environment that feels lived in. Almost 100 bespoke bridges have been created, custom overhead line equipment installed throughout, and every station built using real references from the period. WCML Birmingham to Crewe is more than just a railway line. It is a living network, shaped by the people, places and trains that use it every day." We can't wait to get this add-on in all of your hands, and it won't be too long until we're hopping on our first preview event with the AABS development team. Stay tuned for more information, and keep reading for a second brand-new announcement from the AABS further on in this article! Liberec – Stará Paka from Vector Simulations We love introducing all new teams to our TSW partner programme, and today we're lucky to have two developers to share with you all! Let's start with Vector Simulations, who will be taking TSW to Czechia for the first time! Vector Simulations: "Our first Czech Add-on for Train Sim World will accurately represent the route 030 from Liberec to Stará Paka, measuring 80 km with single track and based around the year 2018. The route is technically and visually very diverse, traverses multiple deep valleys with high viaducts and goes through 8 tunnels - In some parts, you can even drive 100 km/h! Thanks to this, it offers not only interesting driving profiles and gradients, but also a visually attractive environment. You can also find historical Hrubý Rohozec castle near Turnov." "You will enjoy local and express passenger services with class 843. You will see beautiful sunrises and sunsets on tops of hills around Liberec, misty valley of Jizera river, and you will try to solve some unusual traffic situations during extraordinary situations. The model accurately represents the real life example and includes some characteristic behaviours and failures." Multiple liveries including bulb and LED lights, real names on some vehicles as per year 2018 Multiple technical display pages with fully simulated values, VO79 radiostation, LS90 safety system, multiple-unit driving support "You will also drive class 750 - commonly nicknamed “Googles” due to its characteristic look - with some freight service. Climb steep hills with heavy trains, sometimes with single locomotive, other times with two or even with a banking locomotive. Explore a detailed model of the engine room and feel the characteristic scent of diesel and 1970s. The Class 750 will also feature four different liveries, VO67 radiostation, LS IV safety system, support of multiple-engine driving and a banking locomotive." The new country list keeps growing, thank you to the Vector Simulations team for their details on the first Czech route arriving soon to TSW, how about we catch a flight to another new location?

Tadami Line from Union Workshop We premiered the first glance of the highly anticipated Tadami Line gameplay on the Dovetail Direct this year, which is available to view on our TSW6 channel. Let's hear from the Union Workshop team on their current progress for this route. Union Workshop: "The Tadami Line runs along the Tadami River, and its charm lies in the magnificent scenery of the changing seasons. The train passes through many bridges and tunnels heads to Oku-Aizu. The scenery outside the window is refreshing. Many domestic and foreign photographers come here to capture this breathtaking scenery. It was even selected as the top of the "Top Ten Most Beautiful Autumn Leaves Railways" by a national media." "The areas along the line not only have beautiful natural scenery but also nurture unique local culture. One of the pleasures of the journey is to immerse yourself in the nostalgic scenery and experience the daily life intertwined with legends and stories. The Tadami Line inherits the history of the mountain village, the food culture, and the exquisite craftsmanship, and continues to protect people's reunion and separation. Don't forget to get a craft called Akabeko as a souvenir, which will feature as collectibles in-game!" "In TSW Tadami Line, we are offering the classic Kiha40 DMU. The Kiha40 DMU was once one of the most common diesel trains in Japan. The Tadami Line started operating Kiha40 in 1979 and all trains were retired in July 2020. We offer three classic liveries, including Tohoku local colors, National Railways orange, and Niigata colors." Thank you to the Union Workshop team for this update, we know you've all been waiting patiently for more updates on TSW's first Japanese route, and alognside it's release into TSW6, we'll be adding full Japanese localisation support! "Take charge of the powerful electric Class 86/4 Locomotive on high-speed Passenger and Freight runs between Preston and Crewe. What an exciting route, we can't wait to share more updates! Partner Programme Updates Announcing the Class 805 from from All Aboard Studios Get ready for another reveal today, with the Class 805 add-on coming from our new TSW development partners at All Aboard Studios! AABS: "All aboard for a modern main line experience. Developed by All Aboard Studios, the brand new BR Class 805 is arriving in Train Sim World, bringing with it cutting edge design, authentic operation and the excitement of next generation intercity travel." "Introduced in 2024 by Avanti West Coast, the Class 805 is a five car bi mode unit that can switch between electric and diesel power. It was designed to replace the ageing Super Voyagers and now runs services from London Euston to destinations across the Midlands, North Wales and beyond. With quieter traction, lower emissions and a fresh, modern interior, the 805 is built for the future of rail." "In Train Sim World, the train has been recreated with precision and care, based on real world references and operational knowledge. From the clean lines of the Avanti livery to the modern cab packed with interactive features, every detail has been considered. All sounds have been refreshed using direct recordings from the Hitachi AT300 fleet, provided by the excellent SamTSM, delivering a rich and immersive audio experience that brings the train to life." "You will also find a full tutorial to walk you through every system, along with five stunning and engaging scenarios created by SimTrack Studios. These range from an early morning cold start at Wembley to a stormy express run to Milton Keynes, a disrupted approach into Euston, a traction mode change at Watford, and a busy football charter into Wembley. Each one offers a fresh challenge, whether you are switching power modes under pressure or navigating caution signals in a congested section." "Backing all of this is a brand new 2025 working timetable for the West Coast Main Line South route between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central. This is one of the most detailed and traffic heavy timetables ever introduced in Train Sim World, with over 2,000 total services and more than 1,000 driveable. Among them are 27 newly added Class 805 services based on real world Avanti West Coast diagrams, running from early morning through to late at night. You will be sharing the route with Class 350s, Pendolinos, Overground and Underground services, and freight movements, all layered together to create a busy and believable main line network." "Whether you are coasting into Euston on time, managing a late running service under yellow signals, or switching traction modes on the fly, the BR Class 805 offers a modern and rewarding driving experience on one of Britain’s most important intercity routes." The BR Class 805 is coming soon to Train Sim World. Are you ready to take the controls? Stay tuned for more information in the coming months, and we look forward to sharing new screenshots and details from the AABS team!
DB BR 420 from TSG TSG have a new update from the DB BR 420 loco add-on since their original announcement, discussing new details and features coming with the release. Let's hear it from their team: TSG: "We at TSG have again added some extras to our BR 420 pack. It will now contain 5 versions of the train. Of course the well known 8th series Munich variant and the already announced 6th series Frankfurt (RMV) version with pocket doors and older cab. We added a orange-grey livery with a again changed cab and different interiors to the pack. This variant will also be split into 3 separate trains with some differences. One Frankfurt version for AI use on the 1984 Left-Rhine timetable released with the E94 pack." "The other two are for the newly announced DTG route Stuttgart-Heilbronn. Since that route plays around the year 2000 we decided to have a further traffic red one of that older train to better fit the route. Both liveries were running there at that time. Technically, not much has been changed with the new variants. Of course, the "retro" versions will not have LZB or EBuLa and are equipped with the older style radio." "Gameplay wise we are not there yet but there was a decision made to add more playable services to the pack. So it will also get a timetable for Munich-Augsburg to give the Munich variant a place to live, somehow. That comes with restrictions of course since the route already is heavily using the consoles memory. So the timetable will be a copy of the original one and we just replace some 423s with 420s. No additional trains as this would blow up the timetable. And it will come only for Gen9 consoles. We think it's a better compromise than not having any ready to play Munich gameplay." TfW Class 142 Pacer from Just Trains Let's hear again from the Just Trains team, this time on their already announced TfW Class 142 loco add-on, coming soon to Train Sim World 6! Just Trains: "The Class 142 Pacer was the de-facto commuter unit from 1985 to 2020 across many routes in the UK. The 142 series was British Rails attempt to produce a low-cost unit for the railways and was literally based on a road bus chassis which meant that it had no separate bogies, having the axles bolted directly to the chassis rails." "The 142 was used in South Wales around the Cardiff area but in 2016 the existing operator was superseded by Transport for Wales which led to a period of transformation from the existing predominantly Teal livery which involved removal of the previous operators name and replacement by a large TfW Banner along its side." "The Just Trains TfW Class 142 Pacer not only features these livery transformations but includes numerous changes both internally and externally to bring the unit up to being period correct. Externally the upgrades include the 2-door bi-fold entry/exit door, LED headlights, sanding unit along with numerous other small details." "Internally there is a new seat design and layout featuring a new authentic maquette. In the upgraded cab there is a GSMR radio, operational DRA and TPWS along with other functional enhancements overall. Hear the custom created announcements spoken by a native Welshman as you arrive at the stations. Designed for use in the Dovetail Cardiff Network route, the Just Trains TfW Class 142 features an additional timetable which is set in 2019 and takes advantage of other DLC that you own including the Rivet Games WMR & XC Class 170 Pack." Expect more news coming shortly, and be sure to check out the Just Trains In-development Blogs for the latest on their projects! Santa Fe Gameplay Pack from High Iron Simulations Let's check back in with the High Iron Simulation team, who are close to releasing their Santa Fe Gameplay Pack for the Cajon Pass route. High Iron Simulations: "The pack will bring Santa Fe railroading of the early 1990s to California’s famed Cajon Pass route and feature two notable locomotives, the workhorse AT&SF Electro-Motive SD40-2 in blue-and-yellow freight colors, and the powerful Santa Fe General Electric C40-8W in the railroad’s legendary “warbonnet” red-and-silver livery." "Freight equipment will be highlighted by three all-new types of freight cars: A Santa Fe two-bay cement covered hopper, Santa Fe three-bay ribbed-side covered hopper, and an example of the iconic 86-foot auto parts boxcar." "The pack promises a robust – and authentic – operating experience. More than 250 timetable services and five scenarios will feature mainline intermodal and freight trains, switching, and locals. The services are closely based on actual Santa Fe freight schedules of the era. Additionally, Union Pacific freight action on Cajon Pass will be represented in an extra layer using UP equipment from the Sherman Hill route Add-on." HST Farewell Tour & GWR Remaster from Grump Dog Games Finally, to end our Partner Programme updates section, let's check in with Liam fromm Grump Dog Games, famous across the community for their work on the West Somerset Remaster, and get the latest as they take on a new add-on, and continue work on their upcoming remaster. What is the HST Farewell Tour pack? Liam: "The HST Farewell pack is made as a tribute to the HST’s final years in service with GWR as well as a celebration of 200 years of modern railways. The pack includes some of the most iconic liveries worn by the GWR Class 43’s along with expanding the gameplay with new features, such as manual coupling, toilet flushing on the Mk3 coaches and Mk1 HST barrier coaches for stock moves." What features does the HST Farewell pack include? The pack includes multiple Class 43 power cars, each with unique liveries, nameplates and numbering. The included power car designs are: Class 43 power car 43002 ‘Sir Kenneth Grange’ (BR Blue and Yellow with nameplate) Class 43 power car 43093 ‘Old Oak Common’ (GWR Green with OOC vinyl & nameplate) Class 43 power car 43185 ‘Great Western’ (InterCity Swallow with nameplate) Class 43 power car 43187 & 43188 ‘Welshman’ (GWR Green with white dragon vinyl) Class 43 power car 43188 ‘Welshman’ (GWR Green with yellow dragon vinyl) Class 43 power cars (GWR Green with vinyl ‘GWR’ logo) Class 43 power cars (GWR Green unbranded) "Also included is a Mk1 HST Barrier Coach in both blue and green liveries. These coaches have both buckeye and hook coupler types, allowing players to perform stock moves between the HST’s and a wide range of stock in TSW. Players will also be able to hand place end of train lamps on the Class 43s, Mk3 coaches and the barrier coaches." "Gameplay for the pack will be on both the GWE remaster and the Riviera line. Players will be able to select the new HST’s on existing services along with some new ones, with the scenarios focusing on the final years of the HST’s running out of Paddington and down the Riviera line." Further developments since the last update Liam: "Both the HST Farewell pack and GWE Remaster are coming along great and should hopefully be in the hands of players later this year. Work has also started on the next addon by Grump Dog Games but that’s all I can share at this time." Just take a look at this fantastic before and after shot for the GWR Remaster! Thank you Liam, we look forward to sharing more about the new HST Farewell Tour pack and the upcoming GWR Remaster in the coming months!
This meme is finally coming true edit: as explained in the roadmap stream it's just particle effects from the toilets, probably the same as that TSC enhancement pack. I wonder why toilets, especially clean ones, are banned from this game...
Birmingham to Crewe is looking amazing. Good to finally get a long section of track for the 390, it feels inevitable that Milton Keynes to Birmingham will be made sooner or later to complete the missing section to Carlisle
5 versions of the 420. We love to see it. Would it be possible to get an updated original timetable for Linke Rheinstrecke, TSG?
3 version of the class 350 very intersting i wonder if thats why didnt included anymore subclasss in the wcml
Birmingham - Crewe route looks bombastic! I'm looking forward to the release)) The Czech route also looks not bad P. S. DB BR 145 look like a copy from TS, wat?
Are we getting Dutch routes in the Future? Is there any plan to bring the Netherlands to TSW6 like in TSW5?
Looking goooood The images of the Czech route are amazing! I didn't think it was that far developed yet, honestly. Even more hyped for it now Also quite hyped for the Stuttgart-Heilbronn route. Not many new infos, but the developmental images of the 140 and Wittenberge cab are enough to raise my spirits. I'm looking way more forward to this one than the Dresden-Leipzig route/remaster! And the 420... omg this thing looks so good Getting 5 versions sure is a treat, and I'm gonna enjoy it a lot! The original grey/orange livery is an eye-catcher for sure. Can't wait And at last some more Tadami screenshots. Looks like this route is finally getting somewhere... very pretty
Exactly what I was thinking. Also now that Crewe is modelled, maybe ATS can extend their route from Alderley edge. That was the main reason for them not being able to at the time.
Excellent roadmap. Very excited to read that AAS’s Class 805 will come with a brand new timetable for WCMLS - presumably including all their subclasses of 350 too. Over 1000 playable services..
I suppose most of these new 3rd party developers are just testing the waters, honing their skills in Unreal Editor etc. etc. Commercial success and a follow up isn't guaranteed since, well, QA and other constraints, so bugs will definitely appear. The only chance for those developers to really show what they're made of is to present a solid first effort DLC. Dutch routes and trains follow up? More of Thomas's? More core features like delays and defects, while popping trees and track aren't addressed?
The Czech route is completely something different from what we are used to! it gives a fresh note to the TSW! I am really impressed with the diesel electric loco! And especially we get to walk in the engineroom of a diesel locomotive, and seeing the generator with the diesel engine behind it, not just a portion. Just wow! As for the High iron simulation, the pack looks promising , but to deliver an authentic experience , the locomotives must have authentic engine and horn sounds , or at least improved to sound much closer to the real thing. Also looking forward for the New york - Stamford , mainly for the freight operations
As a representative of russian community I’m really waiting for Cheske route . It adds not only first route from Czechia but eastern Europe at all! Especially the freight loco looks very similar to ours (inside and outside). In Russia we still have a lot of locomotives made in Czechia (ЧС-2, ЧС-7…). Very impressive. Can’t wait
Holy LOVE, the Czech Class 750! In Hungary we just call them "Divers", for the same reason as the Czech "Goggles" name. This route will be big for us Easter Europeans. Also very happy to see the Tadami Line news. Hopefully it is close to release, it looks beautiful.
I'm waiting for the voice announcement. A wee bit disappointed that it is not back compatible. Maybe in the future?
Oh, my... what a roadmap! Fell off my chair at many points! So deeply amazed and satisfied by almost everything that's to come... Which almost never happens! SO good!! Yep, thought they'd go a bit carried away with the good, old 420! What a pack that will be!
I've been naggin at Matt P. Finally the announcments! I know announcements are not back compatible. Possible in future?
The Czech route is the absolute number one on my to buy list. Then even though I’m being selective about the German routes, Stuttgart, semi historical with the 140 also a must have. Then even though rest we will see as they come along. Just one caveat, well two actually. More and more content. Still only one save game slot. And as we are seeing with the Elic Games situation adding more and more Gb to the catalogue. More to redownload next year if you follow the same pattern with TSW7. More chance for Steam, Sony and MS to shout enough is enough, hosting and servicing all this content. What are you doing about the situation?
Will there ever be cross-route timetables? The route-hopping feature is nice, but currently makes little sense since train service cannot be continued.
Something about Czech railway line 030, Liberec - Stará Paka https://www.vlakregion.cz/trate/030/030.html
I'm intrigued they say 221 dont use the route thay often but they do Birmingham to Paignton to it would have been useful to have thay one in game too
Lots of nice things on the horizon, but... How about an option to install the rolling stock that comes with a route separately? I have a lot of routes installed that I don't ever use but want the rolling stock for use elsewhere, and at some point the install size becomes unreasonable.
Being a lifelong Wolves fan(see the scars?) Birmingham - Crewe is a must. Czech looks great. My PS5 will pop!
I can't wait for all the TSW "exotic" routes, i.e. those outside of GB, US & DE, though I'll probably also get either all of the new core routes or at least Riviera Line sometime after GWE Remaster, to put the new 150's & 802's on the updated route.
Just wow. I'm seriously impressed by the third-party offerings and this has got me genuinely excited for TSW 6. Perhaps the most standout from the article is the attention to detail and passion across different routes; from the 350 sub-classes and BTP livery from Birmingham-Crewe, to names and multiple liveries from multiple routes, as well as five versions of the 420 etc. Highlights for me are: - Birmingham-Crewe: this looks and sounds stunning. As a Brit who tends to enjoy and play more European TSW content a majority nowadays, this definitely peaks my interest (more than the Riviera Line, although that does look like it'll be decent too). Also, the Class 805 timetable sounds very interesting, although not as excited being a console player at the moment as whether that actually means a full timetable or not? - Liberec-Stará Paka: So glad that Czechia is finally coming to TSW and really hope more routes from this beautiful country with a rich railway heritage come to fruition. While I'm glad it's a modern timeframe, having older locos makes it the best of both worlds and looks to add some real freshness to TSW gameplay overall. Finally, the route choice seems very good, scenic but fast too up to 100km/h on a single-track - plus multiple locos and service variety! - Lisbon-Setúbal: A complete surprise, but an exciting one nonetheless. A double-decker EMU with the stunning Portuguese scenery sounds perfect. - Tadami Line: Long-awaited but hopefully worth it - the screenshots look lovely. - Expert DB BR 145: The previous 101 in my opinion has been a game-changer for TSW and one of the best things in the entire game, so looking forward to more the same with the 145. - DB BR 420: Five versions for different routes and eras is brilliant and certainly offers much long-term playability. Hopefully, as a Gen 9 player, we can get the most full experience. - Stuttgart-Heilbronn: Also very much looking forward to this, especially the locos. Moreover, another positive thing is that from the route map it looks very twisty and thus interesting to drive.
The road map impressed me!!! Brovo!!! The wait for releases has become even more tedious. I want to note that I haven't seen such a lot of positivity in the community on our forum for a long time. I don't know where to start, perhaps with the main routes: - Rivera: an excellent choice and a route that is expected by the community. It can bring a crazy variety of gameplay over time. A large number of loco DLCs from different eras can be released on this route. I expect an explosion in the modding community and a large number of interesting mods. Class 802 - and 150 in GWR livery - incredibly happy. - Morristown: I am a big fan of everything that travels along the northeast corridor and in the suburbs of New York. I'm really looking forward to it. A little upset, I really miss American freight transport and diesel monsters, which we could have had in large quantities and variety. I can't wait for my beloved AEM7 and P32/42 Genesis. I've been patient and waiting patiently. The Santa Fe game pack has sweetened my life a bit. - Leipzig-Dresden: Super-super! It finally happened. I can't even comment on anything here, only positive emotions. I'm looking forward to a walk around the fantastic Leipzig station and a full run along the highway. I hope all the rolling stock of the combined route will get a suspension function. I'm perplexed by some statements about the unacceptability of expansion on a paid basis. What nonsense. If you want to get to Leipzig, buy a new section of the Leipzig-Riesa route and improvements to the old Dresden route and go. No one should provide this for free, quite the opposite. I don't want to inflate the post, so here's a short summary; I've already stopped believing that the Czech Republic can come to us. This is just fantastic. I'm incredibly happy. In the future I would really like to get Dresden-Decin. Guys, please do it Finally, my collection will have such a desired DB BR 140. Hooray!!! The Stuttgart route really intrigued me. Just madness is happening in the Crewe location. I can't believe that this is happening. I will be happy to know that Alan Thompson is expanding his route to Crewe, and DTG is building Milton-Birmingham. Portugal - in anticipation with a little apprehension. Mysterious unknown. Tadami - everything is great, I can't wait. Liam, your remaster brings me crazy delight!!! Everything is just super. I am sure that such work should be adequately paid. We are all very happy to get this for free, but personally I feel uncomfortable. TSG - all your works are masterpieces. I will definitely have them all (I have a subscription for your releases). RESULT: Everything is damn interesting, I will buy everything!! Good luck to everyone in development.
Has to be said, the best roadmap I've seen in a very long time! So much variety and exciting new stuff. TSW5 was probably the most bland year for roadmaps. TSW6 has far more exciting stuff in its first one alone... Hopefully that will continue to some extent throughout the next year, as more developers have come on board.
The year 2000, in particular, represents a very colorful Deutsche Bahn AG, where ocean blue/beige, product colors, traffic red, and ICE designs ran side by side. In this respect, it would be nice if everything weren't uniform again, as is the case with the Rhine line, for example. If it's just liveries, it would be great if the 140, 264, Silberlinge, and IC cars came in the aforementioned colors, as can be seen in the video: Now, I am not sure if the application of the DB AG logo is only to replace the given part in the livery or if it has to be completely redone, but if possible this would definitely spice up the route. Has anyone noticed the Bundesbahn logo on the DBBR420? It is different from the standard one. But, when you apply the correct one, perhaps leave this as is, since the ET420 001 carried it in the 2000s. Stuttgart and Frankfurt am Main S-Bahn https://frankfurt.baureihe420.de/1990-06-26_420693-ffri.html ET420 001 while with the museum https://www.loksimulatoren.de/attachment/2157-et420-001-jpg/ Finally, might a blue ET 420 for Munich be possible somehow? If the Mittenwaldbahn was to be ever continued to Munich it would fit very well and it would cover the 420 completely. https://muenchen.baureihe420.de/1972_420571-mhab.html I am most grateful that the earlier days are also simulated, as to me it is not as bland as the present. Best regards.
