A route that has received a lot of suggestions in the past but this is a revitalised and updated suggestion to reflect the recent changes to the route. The Route: This is in effect 4 different lines each with different service patterns. Leeds to Ilkley - 2 tph Leeds to Skipton - 3 tph Leeds to Bradford Forster Square - 2 tph plus 1 LNER service every 2 hours Bradford Forster Square to Ilkley - 1 tph Bradford Forster Square to Skipton - 1 tph Stations: 11 Stations https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airedale_line#/media/File:Airedale_&_Wharfedale_lines.png Trains: New: Class 333 Northern Class 331 Northern Reused: Class 801 LNER Class 158 Northern This route offers a range of express, semi express and commuter options for.players with frequent service. The trains cancelled also be used for AI at Leeds with 158 for services to Sheffield, York, Hull, Manchester, Wigan, Knottingley. 331 and 333 for Doncaster. 801 for LNER to London. Class 220 XC services to Edinburgh, Bristol, Plymouth, Cardiff, Penzance and Aberdeen. This will allow for a vibrant terminal station. Maybe something more to add at Leeds. If we date it back around 2019 around the big refurbish of northern, I believe EMT would of still runned to Leeds. Obviously they don't now but yes. We can get some 170s for Harrogate, always change the livery on them. And many other things. Could redesign the 802 into TPE if DTG get the license. That unlocks many routes also adding the 185. There's so much you can do just at Leeds. If DTG make a route with Bradford interchange they can do route hopping from Forster SQ to interchange. Only a 10 min walk.
I think they keep the old NTP route but create another along with it. Maybe Leeds to Preston via Bradford Interchange. This also gives route hopping options with the Airedale wharfedale line. A ten minute walk to Forster square.
I would like an update for NTP though because the lack of ai trains at Leeds and Manchester Victoria is killing me. I'd want ai services coming in from the Harrogate Loop Line, Calder Valley Line, the Airedale Line, Leeds Direct Line, the Normanton Line and the ECML at Leeds as well as ai trains from the Calder Valley Line, Bolton and Liverpool at Manchester Victoria. I'd want extra services too because it doesn't feel right that there's only 1 express service an hour between Leeds and Manchester Victoria and it especially doesn't feel right how there's almost no driveable services to Manchester Piccadilly between Leeds and Stalybridge. I'd also want driveable Wakefield to Huddersfield trains between Mirfield and Huddersfield as well as Huddersfield to Stalybridge if there was a Huddersfield to Piccadilly train in 1983, and finally we can have ai trains at Huddersfield to Sheffield and Clayton West as 1983 was the final year of the line to Clayton West being open before closing and being converted to the Kirklees Light Railway later on.
