Just in case anyone was wondering if it's plain sailing the other games...

I just had an hour on Simrail, very enjoyable but coming into Warsaw it went from running smooth progressively to a stutter and judder fest. Only good thing is that it didn't produce those sound jarring sound squelches we get from stuttering in TSW.

    The game isn't unplayable:

Can the train move? Yes. So, it is playable.

As far as they're concerned, that's all that matters.

You can’t read anything with blurry textures or take any Photos.
For me it’s Not playable because it makes me really angry, because i spend over 1200€ in this game

    I was being satirical.

The HUD doesn't go blurry (at least in my experience), and pretty much all controls to get the train moving can be done either on a keyboard or with a controller. The base objective of driving a train is still doable, and it is possible to complete a service without seeing anything apart from what the HUD shows.

So it is playable based on that, given the overall aim is to drive a train. As long as you can move a train, you can play the game.

It is, however, annoying that these issues exist when they shouldn't, or that they aren't fixed or at the very least significantly reduced.

And we are now 3/4 of the usual TSW shelf life. So this whole year/version has been pretty much a loss, if you paid.

Unless its a Rush Hour situation this year.

Of course, but video memory errors etc does mean it's unplayable in specific circumstances.

I agree this needs to be the main fix with the Xbox X/S version before anything else, interesting that you have had no reply in 4 months.

So let's ask again, can we have an honest reply from the Dev team or Technical Director.

Will this be fixed or be the same in TSW6.... ?
Will this ever be looked at or successfully resolved?

The other issue is the clicking popping audio which is on every train in every route even new ones, I'm surprised that Just Trains still make new content as they produce fantastic DLC but even their hard work is tarnished on Xbox by the audio bug.

Returning to the cab flickering, how can the Vectron DLC be released in this state? it's unbelievable that people were testing this on Xbox and have passed it ok for release.

Why does this company ask talented creative people to spend all that time on creating a new Loco and then release it with ridiculous glitching graphics, you wouldn't mind if it it was patched, but no it then gets re-released, painted a green colour with the same xmas tree panel flickering as before....

I'm sure fixing these 2 issues would lead to a lot more purchases of TSW DLC on the Xbox platform,

Sorry for the moan I do like TSW a lot, :) and as simulation software it should be up there with the likes of MSFS 2020 and Forza but it's frustrating that its stuck being a mediocre product on Xbox due to unresolved bugs and graphical glitches.

Completely agree with you in terms of having some answers about fixes to some of the significant problems mentioned in this thread prior to the release of TSW6.

I find the content of TSW6 really appealing. However, I cannot face spending considerable money if the same problems experienced with textures, z-fighting, and audio popping continue into the next version of the game unresolved.

Some answers would be great appreciated as well as some acknowledgement of the raw end of the deal Xbox players have faced over the past few years.

    DTG - any response please?

As much as I am excited to see random events, train faults, and some superb looking DLC materialise within the next month, please reassure us that you have addressed the basics of which you have been "working on" and we will see this in the new rendition of the game.

I’m afraid all we get is silence….i don’t understand this company, any other game developer would have patched these issues long ago. On the launch video the audio director was going into raptures of how for one loco they travelled to Germany to record the sounds accurately….WHAT IS THE POINT OF THAT ON XBOX WHEN THE AUDIO DISTORTS EVEY 8 SECONDS!!

I challenge Matt to show a live stream of the Xbox version of TSW 6 so we can all see it before purchase….but that’s no going to happen so we’ll have to wait for someone to upload it to YouTube.

Actually I got the impression he was a bit edgy and more than a little defensive. While the DTG sounds are generally better than Rivet there are some pretty appalling examples of poor looping or out of whack level balances. The Class 700 being the main offender. And they basically gave the middle finger to those of us who complained about it.

Completely agree - a preview on the Xbox is most needed!

It's so sad to get this silence. Not long ago, when the community team was smaller, Sam and the likes were a lot more proactive on the forums. When they said write it on the forums, you knew there was a good chance of an acknowledgement of rersponse. Nowadays, nothing.

I 100% agree with all you've said. I'll get the free starter pack (because why not, it's free) but I haven't purchased any TSW routes on xbox since Blackpool branches. A shame, because otherwise, it would probably be my most played game.Clearly, Microsoft isn't too fussy as to the standard of software sold on it's store pages.

It's got to the point now, where I just don't bother posting about it anymore. There has been so much attention drawn to the issues, yet still nothing. So for now, I'll keep one eye on the fourms now and again, to see if any fixes appear.
