Not knowing what platform you are on, but with my pc using a Rail Driver, the brake is working fine on the BR 423.
So im doing depot moves into Wisebaden hbf and using safety systems. Every time i get pzb stop for no reason and no warning. Just a sudden stop am missing something. Thanks
When you are driving past red signals. Even if the 2 white lights are on, you need to press "PZB Befehl" because the safety system thinks the signal is red. Other then that, I haven't experienced what you are talking about.
And, in addition to what Krober has said, you need to stick to the 25kph, otherwise the active 500hz magnets may stop you as well;-) That’s why irl you would most of the time have PZB turned off during shunting.
OK, I am using the mini HuD so I do not have that number displayed. The brake/throttle setting will briefly flash on the right side of the screen as you move the controls.
Gotta say, yesterday's optimization improvements are very noticeable on this route. My poor old machine doesn't struggle nearly as much as it did.
will have to check that ... I got too tangled in testing AFB/LZB stuff on 411 and I am still happy about improvement there, as now 411 is finally useable on LZB without those annoying throttle resets
In real life shunting has a maximum speed of 25 km/h, therefore PZB could be running and should be running to stop the train, if you run a red signal.
Correct, however, as the op has not said how fast he was and the game usually allows 40kph even for shunting moves, I thought I mention it And I agree, as long as you stay below 25 and don’t forget to press Befehl you will be fine. However, this still interrupts shunting irl, hence, the ril actually specifies that PZB should be disabled if you do longer shunting moves (from memory it was 10mins, I may be wrong on this, though. Can’t check at the moment…).
Thanks for the PSI displays for the Frankfurt S-Bahn at the main station. But the fixtures from the airport look better. Maybe you can do it again. ^^
How does it look with the optimization for PS5, will there be an expansion of traffic? Or are we still at the original reduced traffic and will it stay that way?
Sorry if already been mentioned. The dostos cab destination boards are not showing destination. Just blank and you cant change it.
Is there a particular reason why the RB58 services (Rüsselsheim Opelwerk - Hanau - Aschaffenburg Hbf - Laufach) are not included? These would have provided some very welcome diversity between Rüsselsheim and the Flughafen Fernbahnhof before splitting off towards Frankfurt-Süd. Edit: just performed a service using free roam in timetable mode. It fitted nicely into the schedule, at first following an S9 service and then overtaking it via the Fernbahnhof branch. The only issue is that a switch is missing that provides a path between Rüsselsheim Opelwerk platform 23 and Rüsselsheim Platform 2. I guess this was an oversight? Was this the reason the RB58 services were never added?
Windshield wipers on the 766.2 just stop working after a few seconds of them being on. Works when you turn them off then on again but after a few seconds, breaks again.
ICEs and ICs at Mainz Hbf have long waits with dispatch beyond ticked, locking up the whole station for around 7 minutes.
Console: Xbox Series X Trem: DB BR 430 Linha S8 Serviço 35829 de Wiesbaden HBF para Offenbach Problema: O sinal permanece vermelho na estação Mainz HBF após o fechamento das portas antes de continuar para a próxima estação
Interesting scoring, I have now driven 2 IC services in the route and not gotten platinum on either. Both times have used and gotten credit for safety system used. This last one IC (2226) using the BR 101 my score was 6200 and platinum level is 6450. I got a 50 point deduction for speeding, but that is not enough to matter. Sorry, did not copy down the individual scores from the Summary page.
Im not to bothered about medals but there are impossible ones on Manchester commuter example platinum 1500 maximum points you can earn is 500. And there is alot like that.
tl:dr Not sure if reported earlier in the thread, but when driving the 430 in the snow you can see flakes falling inside the cab.
Leaving Wiesbaden Hbf on foot causes you to fall through the floor as soon as you leave the tracks, in many places.
The route is ok, but would not recommend at this stage if you are interested. FPS is really bad especially on series s. If you have a PC with high specs would definitely recommend. But because their is a high volume of trees on the route, it brings the fps really down. I have completed 4 services successfully, but in a previous post, I have had my first crash into Mainz hbf. This is my first time in mainz hbf as the other services were S1 and S9.
PC Player. Haven't had any real performance issues. Mostly just wanted to comment that this route, among some of the other newer routes like San Bernadino, has done a great job of feeling 'in use' and 'lived in' compared to a lot of the others (especially German routes, for some reason. Not knocking them, they just look a little too 'neat' at times). It's also one of those lovely routes that feels like multiple DLCs together in one, especially when compared to some older DLC that were more one-trick ponies. So far my experience on the lines around Frankfurt has been very much dictated about what kind of train I decided to drive, and I always enjoy that.
It seems to be a general problem that the shape signals sometimes show green although they are down and should be red. ^^
There is some wrong prioritisation on quite a few services. If you run the RE2 services as a player, the AI S8 service is prioritised around Stadion, but if you play the S8 as a driver the AI RE2 goes first (as it should). I think the whole timetable needs an eye cast over it to fix these bad interactions.
Only just seen this, but respect to you. This is how the tsw playerbase should coexist. Not constant comparisons and PC master races, just wanting the best experience for everyone. Such a shame that so many people think the game isn’t suitable for console
I don't really think that's true. Most PC players would, I think, concede that, without console versions, TSW would most likely not exist in its current form, if it would exist at all. It is true though that, for a number of reasons, including the choice of game engine and memory constraints, they have been unable to fully optimize the game for console players, many of whom are plagued by z- fighting, blurred graphics and, it seems, more crashes than PC players.
I noticed this track misalignment at Frankfurt (Main) Main Station on the Tracks 381 & 382 at "FF Abstellung"
No thats realistic... The ICE services from and to Dresden has a planned stop by 7min in Mainz in 2018!
I don't know if anything has been posted about this before, but if so, this is a supplement... When entering Frankfurt underground Main station, you'll notice all the PZB magnets on the track. These magnets are part of the speed monitoring system (GÜ for short). When you pass a signal in the "Expect Stop" position (yellow light), the GÜ magnets are activated and monitor your speed. Instead of the usual 500Hz magnet, which monitors 45 km/h in the PZB or 25 km/h after a stop, several 2000Hz magnets are installed here, which control certain target speeds. The monitored speeds are marked with small "orientation signs" on which the speed is written (for example, 64 km/h or 30 km/h). DTG has installed these 2000Hz magnets beautifully, but the orientation signs are missing, which is why a PZB emergency brake is constantly issued during normal entry into the main station. Even when I entered at 24 km/h, I was forced to stop. I, and probably many others, would be happy if the orientation signs were posted with the appropriate speed limits. I've attached a video showing the entrance starting at minute 47:00. The orientation signs and their numbers are visible there. PLEASE dtg_jan update this so I can use the PZB and don't get emergency brakes every time!
The video is not showing up on my side, but I was able to find it by quoting your post. Thanks for this information, very helpful!
Krober, if I am seeing the correct markers, they are down and to the right by the track. The first one is 23 and the second one I see is 40.
Yes, you see the correct markers. But there are way more than just 2. I'm gonna name the timestamps where each marker is 47:22 - 42 km/h marker 47:28 - 23 km/h marker 47:32 - 80 km/h marker (hard to see, marker is blue) 47:36 - 40 km/h marker 47:49 - 64 km/h marker 47:52 - 55 km/h marker 47:58 - 43 km/h marker 48:01 - 70 km/h marker (probably for trains thatpass without stoping) 48:04 - 65 km/h marker (same as 70 marker I believe) 48:06 - 28 km/h marker 48:09 - 5 marker (but 5 km/h makes no sense) 48:10 - 60 km/h marker
I'd suggest the TSW magnets are set far, far lower than that. I think I got emergency braked at lower than 15km/h towards the end sets. Also using this post to chuck out my monthly plea for a kind modder to make a mod to allow the 146 to substitute or even completely replace the 143.
OK, used the service S2 (36207) with a BR432DB. Did a save 1.5 km out from stop at Frankfurt underground station. First run got my speed just at 20 km/h when passed the first set of those 2000 hz magnets and was caught with a penalty brake. Went back to my save point and came in again same speed, but pressed the pzb bypass on approach and got by it without a penalty brake. Did get caught by anpther one just because I missed seeing it for doing other things. I fell now, as un prototypical as it is, to just hold down the pzb bypass for the entire tunnel approach. I should add, that I did not see a single secondary speed sign in the tunnel I waws in. I went outside on the first run and moved back and forth beside the train, and nothing was there.
I believe that 5kph at the end of the platform is realistic. However, it has a tolerance of 10kph, so it should measure against a max speed of 15kph. I am pretty sure this is what Lukas said during the stream for this DLC…
More testing of the 2000 hz magnets coming into Frankfurt underground station track 102. I came in without a penalty brake by keeping my speed under 15 km/h. On track 102 there is a 1000 hz magnet that is sitting there for no apparent reason that you have to respond to also.
depends on how much time I got to spare, but if I am running like nicely ahead, I even go as far as 10 kph sometimes, a habit learned from the Dutch route where 10 kph lets you get very close to the buffer
When this route came out, I noticed that my poor old graphics card was in way over its head with this one. So I decided to shelve the route for a while, since I intended to get a new PC in autumn/winter anyway. Well, long story short, a couple of weeks ago my poor old graphics card decided to end things on its own terms and took parts of the mainboard along for the ride. So I got my new PC a little sooner than expected. Yay?! On the upside, the new one is a beast and I can finally tinker with this route in all its glory First impression: Overall a well-made route, the scenery folks sure did put some work into this one! I'd go as far as to say it's one of the visually most pleasing German routes. I'm not that familiar with the area in real life, so I won't be able to spot tiny inaccuracies, but for my taste, the route looks very good! It also feels very alive and busy. It's nice to have an actual network instead of just an A-to-B route for once, gives it much more versatility and options to explore. Doing timetable services here has a more "real" feel to it as usual, for some reason. I like it Did 4 services this morning: RE 4252 from Frankfurt via airport and Rüsselsheim to Mainz (BR 425) Off to a bad start, are we? I couldn't even leave Frankfurt Hbf, since an incoming RE from Limburg blocked my track and didn't move past the entrance signal. Mexican standoff for over 10 minutes. I restarted and deleted the RE, my signal switched to green immediately. Then at Frankfurt Stadion, my train was held back to let 3 S-Bahn services in and out first. Result: Me catching 5 minutes of delay. Annoying, but that's life. The 425 is rather speedy, so I managed to get back on time when reaching Mainz Römisches Theater (nice station and surroundings btw)! Seeing Mainz in its modern state is quite jarring, since I'm used to the Linke Rheinstrecke version For the return journey to Frankfurt I chose RE 29519 along the same route (BR 642) The service starts at 15:00, and is due for departure at 15:00. So literally no preparation time. Weird. Left Mainz with 1,5 minutes of delay, but was able to shave that off until arrival at the airport. Not bad for a 642! Got held back at Frankfurt Stadion again, for an ICE and an S-Bahn to cross. Huzzah, another 1,5 minutes of delay. The remainder of the journey went well, arrived at Frankfurt 2 minutes late. Then I decided to give the northern branch a try with ICE 991 (BR 401) First task, bringing the empty unit from the Frankfurt sidings to Wiesbaden almost ended in a catastrophe. Just after Sindlingen at a level crossing, an SUV driver decided to run the red light and just about made it across the tracks in front of me There must have been just 2-3 meters of space left... that was close. I would NOT want to be hit by an ICE driving 100 km/h... Rest of the journey went very well, only that the gorgeous sunrise was replaced by pouring rain about 10 minutes in. From Wiesbaden, i took the ICE 991 to Mainz. This short trip went without a hitch. The new Mainz Hbf still is weird to me Overall I'm glad this route turned out as well as it did! Please DTG, give us more network-style routes like this Can't wait to really explore the S-Bahn services once the 420 is out (not a fan of the 430 or even the 423, honestly... but that's just me).
As a fan of American heavy freight train routes, who sometimes ran through freight traffic in Germany, I admire this route too. I have already completed 30 of 45 trips in travel mode. The route is not boring at all, several options for how to travel along the route. Perhaps, it is only worth expanding the schedule for shunting locomotives. Perhaps with the release of BR294 we will get a little more work in the area of branches to freight stations and will travel all the routes in the same Ruselheim.
