You'll notice that when you go on a train in many cases you have to press a button yourself to open the door or open and close the door yourself if it's a slam door train. Well wouldn't it be a cool feature in train sim world if that happened in game too, if you press the usual button to unlock doors and it basically unlocks them but not opens them all at once, then the AI passengers walk up to the train and open the door themselves or open from inside if getting off then you just close them as drivers do in reality (or the passenger closes it if it's slam door). I personally think that this would add a welcome level of realism to the gameplay experience and would be an appreciated feature by many players. as the doors will open randomly each time and dependant on where all the passengers are on the platform or how many passengers are getting on or off the train. Many thanks for your attention. please like and post replies if you support this suggestion and think it should happen in game!
It’s already implemented on the expert 101, I hope it gets given to the broader audience instead of being locked behind an expert paywall.
I second that idea. It's a nice little bit of extra realism on the Expert 101 or rather its accompanying IC coaches. Would be great to have on other trains too! This also ties in somewhat to my pet peeve of more realistic passenger behaviour.
