You know what they say - boredom breeds innovation. And boy have I been bored. As some of you may have noticed, I've spent more than several minutes on a certain timetable. Getting tired of looking at the black background of the editor, I wanted to share a little side project I've been working on. Markt Schwaben - Erding was the idea at first... given I have some experience working with MVV timetables. Can you tell that I'm an S-Bahn enjoyer yet? Freed of the shackles that is the HMA timetable, I decided to build a small spur. I've also set up signalling from Heimstetten to Ampfing. Next steps include adding signals to Muehldorf and west, as well as extending tracks westwards. I didn't want to overcomplicate this project by having multiple signalling systems... hahahahahahahahahahaha. I'm not particularly excited to create stations/unique models, so if anyone has a passion for volunteering their free time, send me a DM (yes, this has become an unpaid job posting, no, I am not ashamed). Anyways... figuring things out as I go. I will update this thread as I see fit, like a journal. Hopefully, this turns into something more than a test-run, but no promises
That looks really cool. Can't wait to hear more about it. I'd love to help but my 3D Modelling skills are terrible.
small progress report: vertical alignment still needs to be added to the stammstrecke, but horizontal alignment is complete anyways gonna touch some grass brb
Started on some general landscaping Sephamore signals: I've also already put together the timetable for the S2 and RB40/RE4, however tracks to the Hbf and track portals will have to be setup before I can even try simulating it. I also hope to be able to eventually implement a variety of freight services.
