For now, this is my sixth and final masterlist and focuses on Northern Transpennine. Let's begin.... 1. Scenery enhancements across the route. 2. Additional dlc for better service variety, options like Class 123 and 124 dmu sets, Class 141 Pacer in early West Yorkshire PTE livery or Class 25 for various duties. 3. More ECML AI traffic at Leeds and AI traffic at Manchester Victoria. 4. Pre Tees Valley (pre 1989) Class 31 services. 5. Addition of Emley Moor Transmitter Tower East South East of Huddersfield. Visible for miles around. I hope these lists have peaked peoples interest and continue to grow.
I still play this regularly but it is very much behind in today’s TSW standards. Not a massively long route but it seems long with its inclines and curves. It has huge potential for an upgrade.
I know it is set in 82, but an 86 timetable could bring in the Pacer and other JT based stock. Class 25 / Class 108 DLC for it.
I t I believe it is actually 1984. However, there are plenty of other options for dlc such as Class 31, 123 and 124, 128 and 141 to name a few.
Hi everyone. I would admittedly love a modern version of Northern TransPennine but I also believe that the existing 1983 version of the route also needs some tlc. The lack of ai really takes away the immersion for this route and even though I do still love driving this route as it is my local route, the emptiness of Leeds and Manchester Victoria do feel slightly frustrating. Here are some of the ai services I would like to see added to certain stations: Leeds: Leeds-York (via Garforth) (DMU) Leeds-York (via Harrogate) (DMU) Leeds-Hull (DMU) Leeds-Knottingley (via Wakefield) (DMU) Leeds-Knottingley (via Castleford) (DMU) Leeds-Sheffield (via Barnsley) (DMU) Leeds-Sheffield (via Rotherham) (DMU) Leeds-Nottingham (DMU) Leeds-Lincoln Central (DMU) Leeds-Doncaster (DMU) Leeds-London King's Cross (Loco or HST if we get a BR HST) Leeds-London St Pancras (Loco or HST if we get a BR HST) Leeds-Manchester Victoria (via Bradford) (DMU) Leeds-Blackpool North (DMU) Leeds-Bradford Forster Square (DMU) Leeds-Skipton (DMU) Leeds-Ilkley (DMU) Leeds-Morecambe (Loco) Leeds-Carlisle (Loco) York-Blackpool North (Loco) Skipton-London King's Cross (Loco or HST if we get a BR HST) Bradford Interchange-London King's Cross (Loco or HST if we get a BR HST) Cross Country services to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen, Bristol TM, Plymouth and Penzance (Loco) Huddersfield: Huddersfield-Sheffield (DMU) Huddersfield-Clayton West (DMU) Stalybridge: Stalybridge-Stockport (Once a day DMU) Manchester Victoria: Manchester Victoria-Leeds (via Bradford) (DMU) Manchester Victoria-Blackpool North (DMU) Manchester Victoria-Liverpool Lime Street (DMU) Manchester Victoria-Southport (DMU) Rochdale-Clitheroe (DMU) Blackburn-Kirkby (DMU) Oldham Loop Services (DMU) Manchester Victoria-Bury (Not sure because we don't have the Class 504 so maybe just a DMU?) Along with ai services we need more driveable services on this route too so here are some driveable services I'm suggesting: Extra TransPennine service between Leeds and Manchester Victoria (Loco) Extra TransPennine service between Leeds and Stalybridge (Continuing to Manchester Piccadilly) (Loco) Huddersfield-Manchester Piccadilly (Between Huddersfield and Stalybridge) (DMU) Wakefield Westgate-Huddersfield (Between Mirfield and Huddersfield) (DMU) Another thing to add to this route is another potential dlc, this being the Class 124 to run alongside locomotives on TransPennine services. These DMUs were still in service in 1983 and were withdrawn a year after the route was set so it would make sense for them to be an occasional appearance along the route. Another nice feature would be to have departure boards that work, like on Blackpool Branches for example.
the route is nice enough, so any new rolling stock would be nice... and pls move it in time to an era where it has safety systems ... y know, DSD, vigilance, AWS/TPWS and such
