    Hi All,

As many of you may know, Nick Hudson and I created a BR Blue 1980s regressed version of DTG's North Wales Coast route, which actually ended up being a complete rebuild with DTG's route as a base. Once the original version of DTG's route was withdrawn we have never been able to make the BR Blue route compatible with the DTG route currently available.......until now that is. With a massive "thankyou" to Xavier from Backdated Trainsim for converting all of the files required, a version of NWC BR-Blue which is compatible with the latest DTG version of North Wales Coast is now available here -

    https://backdatedtrainsim.weebly.com/slanc--nwc-blue.html

As NWC BR-Blue is also a pre-requisite for running South Lancs & North Cheshire we will also shortly be releasing a version of this route which will be compatible with the latest DTG version of North Wales Coast. This will be the last published Phase 6, the creation of Phase 7 is proceeding but slowly.

NB. if you are currently running NWC BR-Blue and own the legacy version of DTG North Wales Coast there is no need to install this route.

I forgot to add, the download contains 2 route versions, one which includes our regressed BR Blue version of Xavier's excellent Conwy Valley line and one without.

Thank you very much for updating this to use the current version of nwc. While it sucks that the 40 is no longer available the route still has a lot of scenario potential and it's lovely to see such a nice route rescued from obsolescence

Yes, most of the scenarios that I wrote for the route use the Railright Class 40 but just use TS Tools to swap it for something else if you don't have it, the scenarios might run slightly differently due to loco performance differences but should still be ok. But there are other non-Class 40 scenarios which come with the route too.
