As someone who is really focused on getting the Platinum medal, I’m asking: if anyone has managed to earn a Platinum medal in this module, could you explain how you did it? Because no matter what I try, I just can’t seem to succeed. Ts2prototype Screenshot 2025.09.12 - 16.15.21.63.png

Looks like it's broken. With all the safety systems on, you get 30 points instead of 65.

    Not even just this tutorial.

I'd have to have a look but there's a bunch of tutorials even for basic introductions to locos where platinums are impossible OR I've got a gold score, retried it, got the platinum threshold yet haven't been awarded a platinum.

Not including route intro: For the 801 training module, not impossible.

With-in the training center before the last few commands of unlocking doors, loading passangers and lastly locking doors. steps:

#1 Stopping the train where it tells one to stop as normal.

#2 Just keeping going around the loop under speed as many times as one needs to until one has enough points.

#3 Once one has enough points, stop the train any where you want to (don't have to be at a station) then unlock doors (on the side that the station is/was on) as normal.

This has been a persistent problem: Since when LZB engages, PZB goes dormant, the game registers "PZB turned off" and doesn't give you credit for it.

Just when driving along the route, on other routes where there are LZB always counts 65 points. The problem is in the training scenario. With the SD-70 locomotive on the Cajon Pass there are sections where 30 points are counted, and somewhere 65. If If you make the same trip on the EC44C4, 65 points will be correctly counted.

With some trains, the bonus score for using safety systems is bugged. For example the BR 406 when used on the new TT for Koln-Aachen, which has the new scoring system. Also the BR 442, as used on DRA. Speaking of which, I hope they fix that for Leipzig-Dresden....

I just got that add-on and can tell you what to do.

#1 Keep rocking the train back and forth under speed limit until you reach 1260 points without passing any red lights or having the back of your train past red light signal box 40.280. Notice: You don't have a lot of room to do that, in my screenshot here 470 yards.

    Train Sim World 5_20250914194526.jpg

#2 Then as directed setup the rest of the train, making sure the reverser is set to forward.

Thanks everyone, I just managed to get the platinum medal with this method as well. In short, nobody is perfect in TSW, and if you’re as seriously obsessive as I am, please don’t let it get to you :)
