Hello everyone now for something a little special.

I have been a lover of art and design for many years now with a variety of hobbies and interests in many areas thrown in. I didn’t go out much as a kid.
Areas such as WW2 history, Technological understanding of Ship design and Planes to mention a few.
White Star line and Cunard. United States line. Then so many aircraft from the Wrights brothers right up to the Skunk Works projects.
I even have a like for Road Transportation. DAFs, Volvo, Scania, And older UK vehicles. Even Traction Engines.

So I will be looking into providing many units with a variety of transportation themes.
And if anyone would like to share their thoughts add similar themes then the community is welcome to do so.
As you can appreciate with the following some of the community may have seen then it’s for those that haven’t any work will be slow to be posted. But hopefully in time a small collection will be built up.

Freight will be the main focus as will items seen on the Class 390s that will be available soon for display here. As most art work been done on the Class 43. It’s an Icon and has the space.

I would like to move forward with the Art theme in and away from just rail art.

So keep your eyes posted for a special edition. My first EU loco;) As if this little project isn’t popular I will devote less time to this Art Livery Transportation Theme Project. (ALTTP).

Hope that won’t be the case and you all share the same passion as I have for this new little side project.

    Enjoy:)
    Rigsby.

Please note not all work is focused on one brand or class of unit and DLCs.

    43 044 ‘Edward Paxman’

    Getting there.
    IMG_7091.jpeg IMG_7092.jpeg IMG_7093.jpeg IMG_7094.jpeg
    (WIP)

Nearly complete but still playing around with what’s best for the remaining decals.
I would have preferred the full engine block and alternator in colour set in front of a dark background yet I feel I’d be pushing the boat out.
    I’ll see where it goes.

    Hello folks.

    43 044 ‘Edward Paxman’ & 43 048 (Edit) ‘T.C.B. Miller MBE’ are now fully completed. IMG_7166.jpeg IMG_7172.jpeg IMG_7168.jpeg IMG_7170.jpeg IMG_7167.jpeg

I’ve used these two units that are currently owned by 125 Group. With 43 044 in IE livery and 43 048 in EB livery as I wanted to show my support and appreciation for what the 125 Group do in keeping an icon alive with the unique sound that came from the Paxman Valenta V12 RP200L that was fitted to the original HST fleet.

So I have left these in the condition they were originally built as DEMU, HST Sets or Class 253/ 245 then as DMB Class 43s. (Bear with me on the correct terms). I’m aware that the Class 43s built 43 001 to 43 152 did have guard windows and controls fitted for easy turn around or movements but was slowly removed after privatisation. Along with the Valenta engine to be replaced by the more efficient MTU VP185.

The idea for the livery is Railway 200 and why pushing the boat out with over detailing the engine wasn’t feasible if the Railway 200 logo was to be added. And it’s at this point I pop over to the Rail 200 September prep thread to waffle on.

There work is art or graphic design based but the theme is to remember the people and engineering behind what was part of the British frontline operations for 40 years and till going strong for a few TOCS.
In original condition tho,,,no it’s only down to charity organisation or groups like the 125 Group that help continue the legacy of the class 43 or HST now and for generations to come.

    ✌.

Oh before I do tho, time for a Class 28XX;)

    IMG_7179.jpeg IMG_7180.jpeg

    Definitely WIP.

Early setting for correct dimensions so it fits an imaginary box and to scale for later workings.

    ✌.

    Good morning Folks.

Sharing some steps or key stages.

    Basic setting out and levelling.
    IMG_7184.jpeg
Finding areas where I’d be working in front or behind for it can get very confusing if decals or not tracked.

Found or separate the areas of Boiler or anything above the gang way. IMG_7185.jpeg Wheels below and then,,,

Start adding drive rods, pistons etc. IMG_7193.jpeg

    Next step, details then complete.

    ✌.
