After weeks of searching here an elsewhere I can't seem to find the solution to this issue of mine. I finally have a small break from my Train Engineering studies and wanted to supplement my sim time at the training center with this sim, and well, nothing. It worked weeks ago, I could see my purchased content. Then, poof, gone. I've tried reinstalling the base game and then the DLC, and still nothing. I know it's downloaded because I can see it (DLC folder Northeast Corridor- New York Penn - Trenton) on my HD, that sits outside the main game folder. Xbox PC app also shows this as downloaded (check marked as installed) Launching the game also shows this as owned and installed. So why can't I see this to play?
Hi blackhawk163 , Sorry to hear that you are struggling with the Xbox App for PC. If something doesn't show us, please run through the troubleshooting instructions we have provided here: How to Manage Your Games & Add-ons on the Xbox App for PC
Why would your dlc folder sit outside the game directory? Correct Xbox PC game directory folder structure is as follows \Train Sim World 5\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC Or something similar. The dlc folder should be inside the content folder.
Unless this changed since I last played TSW5 on GamePass then DLC is always in its own folder in the XboxGames folder and \Train Sim World 5\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC is empty. This is how Xbox Games on PC handles DLC for most if not all games. I assume its because thats how it on the Xbox console. In steam \Train Sim World 5\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC is the correct location.
Ah thats interesting, I only ever had TSW4 from the Xbox store so maybe it changed then or I had a different setup. I know it had a GDK in the folder name or some similer 3 letters that differenciated it from the steam version. Thank you for correcting my inaccurate advice. Could you give the entire directory line for the xbox games folder where the dlc sits so that op can check its right
