It's funny to me that a route that one guy is working on looks and sounds this incredible-especially considering some of the american routes we have received in TSW's past. The depth and passion that you created this with really shows how much we have been held from. I, too would love to support this creation any way possible because I can just tell from these shots that they are made by someone who loves what they do. You are doing incredible work!

"Impressive. Most impressive."-Darth Vader. If this route is added to TSW, it could be awesome. BNSF and UP are my two favorite modern railroads. All TSG needs for this route is an Amtrak P42DC or ALC-42 Charger and Sunset Limited Superliner consist (finally!).

It would be cool to get some SP power on your Texas-Louisiana route, since I believe that your route is part of the ex-SP, now UP, Sunset Route. Correct me if I'm wrong. SP is another favorite railroad of mine. If we get SP locos, I'd love to see an SP E8 or E9 for the Sunset Limited, as well as an SD7 or SD9 "Cadillac," NW-2, GP7/GP9, GP20, GP30, GP35, etc. For more modern SP, GP38-2s, GP40-2s, U-Boats, Dash-7s, B39-8s, C44-9Ws, SD70Ms, SD40Rs, GP60s, and AC4400CWs, along with an MP15DC or MP15AC for yard duties would be fantastic.

As for CPKC, we should get some of their new-liveried ET44s or ES44s for the route, as well as BNSF and UP GEVOs, preferably ET44s.

    BNSF C44-9Ws, BNSF SD75Ms/SD75Is, BNSF/UP C40-8Ws/C41-8Ws, UP C40-8s, UP SD70Ms, UP SD60s/SD60Ms/SD59MXs, UP SD90-43MACs, UP SD70ACe-T4s, BNSF GP60s/Ms/Bs, UP GP60s, UP GP40Ns, and UP MP15s would be great to see as well.

This sounds like a very nice route and hope to get to play it soon, I’m new to train sim and would definitely like to see a route I’m familiar with as I also live around this area. Any updates on the progress? Also would something like this be available for console or PC only? Great work regardless!!

Ill post more progress this week but i just got back to working on it. I usually take a long break after every tsw rerelease. But the trackage has made its way into Louisiana and now i am throwing up scenery in Orange, Tx. I usually post random pictures of my progress on the Train Sim Community discord if ypu want to stalk me down and see some behind the scenes lol. Ill post a proper update this week when i get the chance.

Anywho, here is one image at Echo siding in Orange, Tx IMG_2026.01.18-16.48.28.jpg

    Update time!

This might not be something yall want to hear, but I have a new job in construction so I dont get near enough time to work on this project. I get maybe 1 to 2 days a week if that to work on this map so progress is really going to be slow from here on.

The silver lining though is I am making trees and replacement assets! All new region specific trees with 4 LOD's and waving leaves. Yes, waving leaves in trees are back. I have spent some extensive time to learn a new program to make trees for this map and set up some materials that makes the trees look and feel very real and nice without costing performance.

The good, the bad, and the ugly.
The good: These trees look very good and run in game very smoothly
The bad: They take a lot of time to make and will run dev time up exponentially
The ugly: All the trees and scenery on the map right now will have to be removed and replace with my new trees as the size variations look really bad if I replace all.

I will send some more updates when I get the chance so dont get to sad, perfection takes time and Idont have near enough free time anymore but I will try my best to make some time to work on this. Also, I will be referring to this project as Project TexLa as there is too many subdivisions here to give it a specific name right now.

One more note. The trackage itself is at 120+ miles long in all 4 directions.
Here are some screenshots of the new trees and some reskin variations I am making. Till next time :)
