[resolved] Tsw 6 Stuck On Loading Screen

Upon starting TSW 6 on Xbox Series X, the title screen comes up, followed by the loading screen. The train progress bar only moves a small amount, and then seems to get stuck. No further progress bar movement.

Been sitting at the same place for 10 minutes now.

 

Same here, it looks to be a series x only but I am not sure problem as multiply people have mentioned it.
hopefully it shouldn’t be to long until it is fixed

 

On tsw6 I just tried doing 802 tutorial in training centre graphics are like jelly on series x

 

Good luck. Once you get in the routes are totally unplayable, it should, as someone else pointed out come with an epilepsy warning.

 

It is not loading at all!

i have TSW 5 also installed. Could that be causing the issue,?

 

I have bought the special edition. Prior to 9am, thete was a 4.4 GB update to the TSW6 free starter pack

All my routes seems to have downloaded except Cardiff and Zwolle which is showing 10.1 MB in size for both only. .i have closed the game multiple times now, and it only leads about 10% before getting stuck.

 

Yup mine won't load either, had a small update and still gets stuck on the loading screen.

 

having this same issue. Also, even though all my add ons are showing ticked and installed non show once in the menu

 

Exactly the same issue here as well. Special Edition and ALL routes downloaded but just will not load.

 

I have the exact same issue (on PS5) I have tried:
- Updating (it installed 1 update for the core game)
- Removing TSW6 completely and reinstalling all content
- Restarting the PS5 multiple times.

Still...just the splash screen.
The game isn't even registered as 'started' by the PS5. Because when you go back to the home screen and look at options of the game. 'Close game' is not listed as an option.

 

I'm not sure if another update was pushed or not. But I managed to get it working in the following way:

• Removed all TSW6 content
• Restart PS5 from the shome menu
• Install just the base game of TSW6
• Start the game (boots in just seconds)
• Import profile
• Stop the game from PS5 menu
• Install all additional content
• Start the game

 

Cardiff seemed to be causing me problems on Xbox and PC. It was getting stuck at the loading screen with the train at the bottom. With Cardiff removed both can now load.

 

The Cardiff and Zwolle installs are both showing as 10.1 Mb on my XBOX; all the other routes are anywhere from 5-10 Gb, so it looks like the TSW6 version of Cardiff hasn't been properly installed yet despite uninstalling and reinstalling.

 

Yes noticed the 10 second load time when I tried to reinstall

 

Wonder if I'll be able to play this tonight...

I noticed that I can’t download these routes on TSW5. Are the 5 routes only available for TSW6 or will the licenses extend to TSW5 after the early access period?

All the TSW6 compatible routes on the Special edition is completely unplayable because if the massive flickering.

At least with a quick test, the core 3 new routes seems flucker free.

Thanks for the reply. I just thought because I owned Cardiff city network and the other dlc routes now they would be backwards compatible with TSW5.

 

as double yellow was asking, are the routes that was in tsw 5 ie the cardiff and the dutch route etc, can we download those routes into tsw5 as these routes are officially routes from tsw5, we have done in previous games and will that happen when the game is fully released or in the next few days/

i know tsw 6 routes won't be.

 

This is ridiculous. Despite numerous attempts, tsw6 still won't load and is stuck at around 10% on the load screen, as highlighted here.
Why isn't tsw6 loading and playable on the release today? We aren't beta testers, but paid up subscribers, so it should at the very least load and start as it should do.
Any software launch should undergo extensive testing on all platforms to identify the issues being highlighted here BEFORE it becomes live.
Come on Dovetail team, please sort it out so it works and be honest with us re the current state of play and how long it will take to fix it. This is not good enough!

That's how it worked in previous years, but they changed it this year so anything you buy for TSW6 won't unlock for older versions.

 

Okay, good to know. This is the first time I’ve ever bought the special edition as the previous games I owned all the content on offer at the time.

i can confirm that cardiff and zwolle have been downloaded and seem to be working.

could i ask if i am able to play these routes on tsw5 as they are tsw 5 routes. or are they now locked to tsw6.
previously i had tsw5 and bought fife circle for it and was then able to play that route on tsw4 as it was originally on that version.

also checked the tsw add on database, which states the cardiff and other routes are compatible.

could you confirm either way please

Confirmed that Cardiff and Zwolle now loads fine.

It is now only Nahverkehr Dresden that still has the massive flickering issue

 

So all the old dlc i have,NTP Tees Valley etc,for TSW5 will be available on the microsoft store with a Train Sim World 6 tag on them? I realise i cant download them until Tues as i dont have early access.

The only issue left, is the bad flickering on the Nahverkehr Dresden route.
