PC (mod) Tsw 6 - Improved British Signal Visuals

PC players - I’m happy to announce that my British enhanced signal visual mod has been updated for Train Sim World 6.

You can download this now, ready for when TSW 6 becomes available in around an hour or so, for people that have pre-ordered it.

Now if only there was a way to replace those unrealistic DTG UK speed signs with the excellent realistic ATS models used in MAC - that would be nice.

I always start fresh with mods every TSW version. I redownload one by one, once they show as updated on the TSG website. Saves me from having errors and issues with mods beeing incompatble. Also hoping DTG will implement the new annoucement system to older routes so I can do away with annoucement mods in TSW 6. As they are working with AI generated stuff, I would hope it might be not be hard to bring this system to most old routes over time.

 

For those that are interested, a before and after comparison of what the Signal Enhancement visual mod brings you to Train Sim World 6.

As you can see, there is more much detail within the signal lens, as well as the light source spread visually looking like a real-world incandescent lamp, with the signal casing.

The colours also look a lot less washed out.

 

Already downloaded mate…makes a massive difference! Tvm.

 

I have good news: the 5 > 6 changeover does not apparently affect mods at all. I batch-loaded ALL my mods into 6 and have experienced no problems.

 

solicitr, I cannot get GodMode to work even though I have moved its pak file over as well as JetWash's sav file and his ini additions to the eng.ini file. LM's signal file does seem to be working ok, though it is hard for me to tell.

 

Thats correct God Mode works on existing (TSW5 ones) routes but the new ones need support so there is an update needed to bring them to work on the TSW6 routes. TSW5 and older routes are fine and will work with the existing God Mode version

 

If this is on the new routes with TSW6, Godmode won't work on those until it's updated. If not, then something's not right.

It doesn't work on the new TSW6 routes, just the legacy (5 and earlier) ones.

 

some mods seem to load fine but will crash when trying to run them

Thank you, and so soon, I'm sure that starting September 30, many modders will see what they can actually do with TSW6, because it's becoming increasingly clear that DTG relies on the community for everything related to: optimizations, the most faithful settings possible for audio, lighting, landscapes... with your mods [a very time-consuming activity, especially for people who also have other lives!!!] to all of you, this deserves to be given the means!!! From what I've read on certain forums, it seems that at the top of DTG, some people truly appreciate the work done by the community for both TSW and TSC, so let's wait and see if TSW6 can already do everything we've been told!!! Then we'll see.
